I really have nothing interesting to say, but I’m going to say it anyway. Here is the skinny. I’ve been in Iraq for a couple of months now. I’m doing my Army thing and it’s all good. I’ve got a training plan set up and its going ok. I’m not really losing any weight but I do think that some fat is coming off. I’m a little stronger than I was, and that is progress. The eating here is a problem. The military is not known for its healthful options in the chow hall. I’ve been living mostly on Muscle Milk and the tuna in care packages that my family sends. Jerky too, it has become something of a staple in my diet. That’s really all that there is. I probably won’t get around to doing another blog for a year or so. So, savor this one. Oh, if there is anyone in Taji, drop me a line. Unless, of course, you happen to be a medic named Moe, I already know you.

I will keep this short. I have been super busy with work, Guard Duty and a lot of personal stuff. No more excuses. I can see and feel myself going downhill fast. No more. Back on track and fighting the good fight.

I know that its been a really long time since I’ve posted. I have been away. I’m back now. So what’s new? The weather is warmer, the grass needs to be cut a lot, I can run outside if i feel the need to run. I have been able to get back into the gym after my long break, I feel pretty good but my numbers need to be bought back up. I have work to do, but I will get there. My wife has a new job and my boys are out of school so my schedule is somewhat diffucult. I am going to try to update my stats and get some new pics up, but dont hold your breath for them anytime soon. I am back to eating fairly healthy, MREs are not kind to the body. I switched my suppliments from Nutrex to Muscletech so, we’ll see how that works out. So far i like their stuff but it is pricey. I still work at night, so I’m not getting the sleep that I should, but then again, who does? Anyway, I’m glad to be back and am ready to lift something heavy.

It’s been a while since my last post. Been pretty busy lately but thats never an excuse. This last weekend I took a personal trainer’s workshop through AFAA. It was a really good course. Lots of information to be covered and absorbed in a short amount of time. The instructor was really good and really knew her stuff. I wont know if I passes the certification exam for 4-6 weeks. I’m pretty confident that I passed. Anyway, my eating still needs improvement, but my workouts have been feeling really good. Progress is slow but at least it is progress. I’ll keep trudging away. It’s a good thing that I really enjoy this stuff.

Pretty good week. My weight is up but I try not to pay too much attention to that. I’m goung on Guard Duty this weekend so my eating program is out the window for a couple of days. Not too much gym time either. Again, not going to let that get me down. I have all the time in the world to reach my goals. After all, most of the fun is in getting there, right? This lifestyle is kind of fun. I like being diffrent, but at the same time part of a group. anyway, I need to finish packing. I’ll post again when I get back.

This has been a much better week than last, I cleaned up my eating, and I uped the intensity in the gym. I need to redo my workout program on the bodyspace because the one currently posted has gone by the wayside. I am pretty much sore all over. I love it. I still need to drop some bodyfat but that isnt my primary goal right now. I have a few more weeks in my building phase and then I will go for the fat shedding. I is going to be great. I am looking forward to the future but am focusing on the now while learning from the mistakes of yesterday. <<man that is deep. Anyway thanks to those that tried to pick me up after my less than inspiational last post. What can I say? Without the lows, how would we appreciate the highs? I started my gym journal again, I have’nt had one since I got back from basic. Oh, well, I need to go.

What can I say? I’ve had a cluple of lousy days of eating and I went downhill. My bodyfat went up and my motivation is way down. Next week I will do better.

Well, I had a drill this past weekend so i couldnt get to the gym on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I got an email from work letting me know that the gym will be closed on Monday night to work on the ventelation systems. That is five days without hitting the gym. That sucks, I got no cardio at all during the weekend, and it is raining today so i can’t really go out for a run. My eating sucked over the weekend too. Oh well, time to get back on track. The weekend has just been a minor setback, nothing to get me down. I just have to up the intensity of the small amounts of work that I am able to do. Gotta go, I have to eat!

I put in some progress pictures so everyone can point and laugh. Thats ok though, I don’t mind. I have made progress, it is slight but I’ll take slight progress over no progress anyday. I have been eating well but I don’t belive that I am eating enough. I am upping my calorie intake by about 25% and we will se how that works out. I thing that my time in the gym has been good quality time as of late. I feel good about that. I loaded up my iPod and tune out the rest of the world. I focus on the task at hand and am encouraged by the results. I don’t think that I get enough sleep though. Not much that I can do about that. My schedule is less than ideal. Oh well, guess that I’ll have to deal. No big though, I can handle it. If anyone actually wants to know what my diet is like just let me know, I’ll be happy to post up an example. Just shoot me a message or an IM or something.
