GOMAD is a No Go

This diet makes me feel like crap.  I drank a half gallon through the first half of the day but it was not easy.  I had to force the last few gulps down.  I can’t imagine evenlooking at another glass of milk.  I’ll have to find another way to cram in some  calories.

GOMAD delay

I wrote me last post while driving back from a weekend at Virginia Beach.  Traffic was bad and I didn’t get back until late.  That means I didn’t make it to the gorcery store which means no GOMAD.  I’m about to head there now and hit it hard tomorrow.

Time to GO MAD

I’m starting the GOMAD diet tomorrow.  I have been doing Stronglifts 5×5 for the past week which I will continue to do.  I have about 6 weeks until I leave so I hope this will give me the start I need to get the body I want over the next year.  I just got back from vacation (in the car now) so I will be home and bave minimal distractions over this time period.  I have no excuses not to get bloody huge.  I am donating all of my clothes to charity before I leave.  When I get back I want to get out of the skinny twurp sizes and into the the big boy sizes.

Headstart

Monday, May 18th, 2009

My whole upcoming deplyment is going to be a long bulking cycle.  I have about a month and  a half left until I leave so I am trying to get a headstart.  Despite less than ideal circumstances I managed  to do pretty well while I was gone the last month  for  training.  Now that I am can get back to my own gym and fridge I have no excuses not to do well.  I have my plan lined up including workout plan, diet, and supps.  I am looking to hover around 180 when all is said and done but I would like to be at least to 160 before I take off in July.

Ready to get home

I have been trying to get back into a rhythm but it has been hard.  I am away for work and the gym I have had to go to sucks.  The equipment is fine but the room it is in is about half the size it needs to be.  On top of that it is full of guys who don’t know thier elbow from thier A$$hole.  It gets really freakin crowded and I get so frustrated that I leave halfway through my workout.  I will be home Saturday.  That gives me six weeks to get jacked up before I head away for a year.  I want to get a good base built so I can really take it to the next level.  My goal is to come back around 180.

Aftermath

Friday, May 1st, 2009

It is my first day after ny first Squat 20 workout.  I haven’t had DOMS liek this in a long time.  My legs are smoked, both quads and hams.  The aux work I did afterwards left me a little sore but my legs are screaming, I LOVE IT!  I am going to take tomorrow off then hit the gym again on Sunday.  I am going to use the 20 rep scheme but with deadlifts.  The plan is to work out every 3-4 days, alternating between deads and squats.
