Two bad workouts in a row

I have bad workouts like everyone else but when I have 2 in a row I  know something is wrong.  I still felt smkoed today and had to cut it shirt.  I won’t workout again until Friday so I hope I can refuel on Thanksgiving and get back in a groove.

Ready for a long drive

I am about make a 14 hour dirve back to Missouri.  I hate driving and I am putting it off.  I think I might try to hit the gym before I taek off.   The town where I am going only has one gym and I don’t know what type of hours they have this weekend.  I am hoping to get a couple of lifts in.  I’m packing my runing shoes to get a run or two in too.  This is not a pleasure trip and I will be happey to get back on Sunday.

What happened?

I’m not sure what happened but I flet like crap during my workout.  It was probably my worst session in months.  Everyone in my office has been sick over the last week except for me so maybe it fianlly caught up to me.  I am driving about 14 hours tomrrow but I want to get a quick workout in before I go.  I think there is only one gym in the town my dad lives in but I am still goign to try and get in one lifting session in this weekend.  I am also bringing my running shoes so I can get in ac ouple of runs if the weather is not too bad.

Done with the diet

I made it about a week and a half.  It was just too much for my digestive system.  I am going to do some research and jump back in after the holiday with something different.  I was doing pretty well but I was miserable most of the time.  I’m not sure exactly what it was but I had to stop torturing myself.

Day 9-High Carb Day

TOday I carbed up.  I wasn’t sure how I would feel after going on almost no carbs for the last week or so.  I feel great for the most part but I am a littel stopped up (TMI?).  I forgot to taek my second dose of my fiber supplement yesterday and things are at a stand still.  I have most of the stuff I need for tomrrow.  After that it is low carb again until Thanksgiving.

Day 8

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

I’m feeling even better today.  The downside is I am sore as hell the last couple of days of working out.  I’m going to take today off and pick it back up tomorrow.  I also have my first carb up tomorrow.  I am pretty anxious to see how it goes and I will adjust afterward.  This diet doesn;t seem to hard to follow but I will be tested during the holidays.  My girlfreind made brownies last night and it took every bit of discipline I had to say no.  M stomach is grumbling just thinking about them.

Day 7

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I feel a ton better today. I slept like a baby last night. I feel better than I have in weeks or even months. I have one more day after today of low carb and then I carb load for a couple of days. After that I will be on low carb until Thanksgiving. After the holiday I will go back to weekdn carb up followed by a low carb week schedule.

Day 6

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

 Today has been little rough. I am really edgy. I heard this would happen as my body began to switch over to ketones as a source of energy. I’ll take it as a good thing. I have a couple more days left of carb restriction before a couple days of carb loading. I am getting used to the diet and make mess around with the menu to get some more variety. I am hitting the lower body tonight which may mean deadlifts. I will need as much energy as possible to get a good workout.

DAy 5

Monday, November 17th, 2008

I am feeling pretty beat today.  I don’t know if it is the diet though.  I had to work all weekend and I didn’t sleep well.  I also had to get a few immunizations and I think my body is feeling the effects.  One of the guys at work got strep so I hope I didn’t get that too.  I am supposed to head back to the gym tonight but I don’t know if it will be a very good workout.  I think it will taek me a few more days to fully adjust.  I am planning my first carb load on Friday.  I think I can stick it out until then.
