Experiment

I am about to embark on a very unscientific experiment.  I am tryign to decide whether or not all those expensive supps are worth the cash.  So over the course of the next year or so I am goign to go a 4, 12 week cycles.  Alternating between using supps and not.  I will track by startign weight and bodyfay, as well as my bests in the big three lifts (bench, dead, squat).  My goal is not to change anyone’s mind, only to prove it to  myself once and for all

At my weigh today I hit my highest weight ever. I have started taking creatine again so some of that is water weight but I am still making progress.  My goal was to hit 160 by the end of May, whcih should be no problem.  I need to clean up the diet a bit to make sure there is not tii much fat gain.  Overall, I’m am pretty excited though.  Lift big, eat, big, get big.

Feeling better

I was hestitant to taek some time off.  I was getting into a groove and I didn’t want to mess things up.  But my body was feelgin a littel rough.  It has been a couple of days and I am glad I took the break.  Most of my aches have are feelgin better.  I also have a wicked bruise over my right knee that would really effect my lifting, honestly I don’t knwo where it came from.  I have a freidn coming into town so it will be a couple of more days before I head back to the iron.

Ease off

My body is feelgin a little beat up so I am going taek a few days off.  My workout last night was a littel rough and I  think I need to refuel.  My unit has training this weekend which would have made training hard anyway.  Then I have a buddy coming in from out of town for a few days.  I’ll end up with 5-6 days of rest.   I’ll so some stretchign and yoga, and also doing a lot of icing/heat to make sure I am full strength and healhty when I head back.  I will be starting a new pahse of training so I want to be 100%.

New workout 1

This is the workout I will start next week.  I am looking for critiques.  I pretty much just tweaked my current program, which has been working well.  I just want to mix it up to avoid overuse injuries (littel sore right now).  I will post my other two workouts as well. 

Sumo Deadlift x6

grrr………..My stomach is growling

I think my body is getting used to the training and my appetite is increasing.  My weight is slowly creeping up and I am starting to see some difference is size.  I think I may have been hittign it too hard and I not to ease off a bit before I injure myself.  I have to travel a littel bit this weekend and for once it is coming at a good time.

My body is feelign a little beat down so I am taking a day off.  I will head back in tomorrow to do back/bis/forearms.  My joints just need a little rest.  I will probably do a little stretching.  I am working some new workouts to minimize overtraining.

Not the best weekend

I have had better but also worse weekends as far as working out goes.  Things got a little crazy and I was sidetracked.  I didn’t lift but I did manage to do abs and cardio yesterday.  I am dragging a little bit today but I am going to head to the gym in a littel bit to do legs regardless.
