Back in step

After a couple of bad workouts I started feeling better.  These workouts are killer though.  The weight is definitely less than before but I have better form, so I am probably getting a better workout.  I need to work on the nutrition though.  If I can get that in order than I will be straight.

Yesterday’s workout was another bad one.  Still the same factors but I didn’t really learn my lesson.  Once I get into it this workout will have me in great shape.  My next day int he gym will porbably be Sunday.  I just need to down as much water as possible.

Worst workout ever!

I felt horrible today.  I was out of energy from the first set.  Sometimes that happens but I feel better as the workout goes on.  Not today though.  I just felt worse and worse.  I can think of a coupel of reasons why.  First, I have been eating like crap for several days now and I think it finally caught up to me.  Second, I am really dehydrated.  It doesn’t help that I started taking creatine again and I really need to double what I was drinking before (I need to aim for 2 gallons per day). Even with the holiday tomm I am going to fit it abs and cardio.  Then its back to the gym on Friday.  Hopefully by then I can get back to my old form. 

 I also think the new workout smoked me.  I looked a lot easier on paper.  I really felt the pump and even though it was a bad workout I looked pumped when I got home.

I am starting a new workout tomm.  I have been happy with the old one but I want to mix it up a bit.  I was making strength gains and I was putting on mass when I ate right.  I am going to use The Zane Body Training Manual.  As a fellow ecto I figure what worked for him might help me too.  He had a few programs in thier.  I follow each one until I stagnate and then swirch it up rather than following a workout for an arbitrary amount of time.  If I can get my body to look even remotely like his I will be ecstatic.

Not a bad week overall.  I stayed up late a couple of nights doing homework so I was dragging a few days.  I also ate pretty crappy. I did put on some weight and also improved in all of my workouts so at least I am heading in the right direction.  This week will be crazy for most of us with Thanksgiving coming up.  My mom flies into town Wed night.  Then Thurs is the mother of all bulking meals.  I am going to eat until I puke and then eat a little more.  My gym is open for a few hours on Thurs so I hope I have the discipline to make it there in the morning.

I also received my new supps on Fri.  The NO Booster (White Blood) really gives me a pump.  We’ll have to wait and see how well they really do though.  I wasn’t too impressed with my previous stack (M Stak and Stak 2 by Animal).

A well deserved day off

I have been busting my tail this week so I decided to take on off day.  Today was also the OSU-Mich game which cut into my time.  I also got way behind on my homework and need a day to study. I have 4 papers to write between now and Monday. 

Tomm is a scheduled run day.  It is should be pretty cool so I will have to unpack all of my cold weather gear.  I should also have my new workout manual inthe next coupel of days.  I am pretty anxious to give it a try.

Cardio Day

After a couple of days of lifting I hit the track.  Nothing crazy, just a couple of easy miles.  I want to build my base back up before I start the good stuff.  I only run for about 20 minutes so I would like to eventually get my 5k time under 20.  It will take a while but I’ll get there.

Weekly Grade- B-

Not a bad week but not great.  I could have used one more day of cardio.  My rest was pretty good most of the week.  The only think that was really lacking was my diet.  I need to eat more and better.  That is the only way I will hit my target weight.  I am hitting the gym in a couple of hours in hopes of getting a good start on this week.

Back to running

I haven’t run in about a month so I hit the road today.  It was pretty decent weather, 45 and sunny.  I want to max my PT test int he spring so I am going to stick to a 2 days of lifting/1 day cardio schedule.  I will try to keep the runs to about 20 minutes but I want to get to where I can fit about 3 miles in that time.  Now that the weather is getting colder (we had some flurries earlier this week) makes it a hard time to get started.   I still have all of my running gear from a few years back.  That stuff was pretty pricy so I better get my money’s worth.

Watch out, it’s the birthday boy

Today I turned 26.  To be honest it feels like any other day.  I may have even forgot about it if people didn’t keep reminding me.  I guess I can make some goals for the year.  I really just want to be bigger and better than I was the past year.  I am on the right track and with a little more discipline I will be doing great.  I will most likely be out of Ohio in April.  Hopefully good things are in store for my next stop.  Cheers! May this year be better than the last.
