Getting anxious

A little over a week to go until I can hit the iron again.  Today I just did a test race on the erg to see where I stand.  It was best time this year but nothing special.  I would like to cut off a couple of minutes by the race in Jan. 

My nutrtion has been better and I have been getting a lot of rest, as I haven’t had to work in about a month. I head back to work on Monday so we’ll so how well I keep it up.  Overall this job will have less stress and less hours than the last so I think I will be just fine.

Nothing special today.  Just 30 minutes on the erg.  Stats not too impressive.  I have about a week a half until I can get back in the weight room.  I can’t wait!

New Challenge

I have decided to compete in the Cincinatti Indoor Rowing Championship at the end of January.  Using the erg is probably my favorite form of cardio so it shouldn’t be a problem.  It gives an excellent total body workout.  After I hit it hard for a few weeks I can see the diffrence, especially in my abs and my upper back.

My goal is to finish repsectable, maybe in the top 25% or so.  I hope this gives me a little extra motivation to keep working out hard.

2 more weeks

I still have two more weeks until I can start lifting again.  I have been feeling like crap since I stopped.  I miss rush. 

Another note I am finishing up my move tomm.  I pretty much had to throw away all of my food so I will have to start from scratch.  I am not going to buy anything that isn’t on my plan.  My new place is kind’ve is away from all of my distractions so I hope I can stick to a plan a little better now. 

Well I gotta cut it short.  I have to get up and clean up my old place a little more and then head up north.

Out of commision(surgery)

Some people have ben asking where I have been the past few weeks.  Well, I had to ot have some minor surgery.  I don’t want to go into details, but I have been in bed for about a week, doped up on painkillers.  I am not allowed to do any exercise at all for a few mroe days and I can’t lift for a while.  I have been cleaning up my house for my move and just lifting bags of garbage hurts like crazy. 

The last thng I want to do is break my stitches and have to start over again.  So in a few days I’ll start with the bodyweight stuff until I am totally cleared to lift again.  I’m still going to eat healthy though so the transition will be easier.  Thanks for yout support.

Cardio Day

I could’ve gone a little harder but overall it was pretty good.  I finished the whole wokrout wihtout quitting, which was my major goal.  I did 20 minutes of intervals on the bike (30:30).  Back to the weights (Lower body tomm)

Back in the gym

I was back in the gym for the first time in about a month.  I was hurtin.  I finished but I could really tell that the lay off hurt me.

BO Supinated Barbell Row 4×6 with Incline Barbell Bench 4×6

Chinup to sternum 4×6 with Shoulder Press 4×6

Dips 3×6 with barbell curl 3×6
