1st weigh in

I am still recovering from mi injury but I did my first weigh in today.  As I expected, I lost a lot of weight, I went from about 158-160 to 150.

 My long range goal is to get to 190 in single digit bodyfat by by 27th birthday.  I have 16 months to do it.  That averages out to about 2.5 pounds a month.  Thats pretty reasonable.  It think I get there while keeping a pretty low bodyfat percentage.  I think my problem last time was I was too eager and tried to rush.  Slow and steady wins the race.  I am going to concentrate a little more on form this time.  Hopefully that way I will avoid any future issues.

On a side note my wrist is feeling better.  I still have a few weeks of rest just to make sure.

I am decided to start my program over.  I was in the 5th month of a 16 month program.  But I really haven’t been giving it my all.  On top of that I injured my wrist by using bad form.  This time I’m going to put more focus on my diet.  That is the only way I will ever get to the size I want.  I am also going to take a little easier on the lifting.  I tried to throw up too much weight and in the process hurt my wrist.  The first month is a lot of body weight and corrective stuff so it should heal by the time I start lifing again in July.  I’m also going to work more on grip strength and overall flexibility to prevent future problems.  My cardio has sucked too.  Unlike a lot of skinny guys, I am not a runner.  But being in the Army I need to focus on it at least two days a week.  If I stick to everything I know I will see better progress and less frustration and pain.
