					<description>At the previous gym i trained at was a guy who claimed that the weights made him burn calories long after whilst sitting on the sofa. If he was to be believed he should have faded away. Whilst weights do help burn fat , they don't help that well - look at typical weightlifters and strongmen. Cardio is the most effective fat burner, look at runners and athletes! The most important thing was you went to the gym.</description>

					<description>I think you made a good choice.  For one you still went to the gym even though you were running late.  A lot of people would have said to hell with it.  

I usually pick weights because I can find a way to fit in an extra cardio session when they get missed.  Weights are not as easy to do.  Plus it looks like you got some sound advice.</description>
