I was supposed to have worked this weekend to be better prepared and further along on a Wednesday deadline. Instead, I baked with my daughter for her and our son’s youth choir bake sale at church <– didn’t eat a drop!, then had a yummy - pushing my calorie limit - lunch with my good friend, and shopped around for swimsuits to checkout any body transformation.
) My tan’s coming better than my tummy’s going but can’t complain too much.
For some INSANE reason, I was dying for an M&M blizzard and ended up getting a McFlurry. UGH! Before I even ask, I’m sure you can believe it. Anywho, I’ll keep thinking to myself about some of the articles here that say you have to have a splurge now and then to keep your body guessing. Didn’t matter, though, I saw on CalorieKing that it was over 600 calories, so I walked steep uphill at 3.4 on my treadmill for 99 minutes anyway! lol I called it punishment but I actually didn’t mind it at all and am really happy I had. Watched a lot of a movie ("The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, liked it!) without even thinking of how much I was workin’ it.
I only got away with murder because my husband (it’s so much easier to stay good when i’m not alone, haha) and son were at the Busch race here at Texas Motor Speedway, but I wasn’t suppose to eat bad because I was going to be a the Nextel race today, which I was and it was a CRAZY race! Lots of fun and guess what… I planned my meals on CalorieKing.com and packaged them up last night so it was easy to not eat all the race food.
Yes, I planned for 4 beers and had 3.5 - yes I’d normally drink plenty more over the all-day excursion (we tail-gate before and after). I seriously didn’t buy a single item of food at the track and ate grapes, broccoli, protein bar, egg whites, etc. LMAO!! while those around me wolfed down nachos, funnel cakes, sausage on a stick, kettle corn, and all that stuff. Now that I think about it, dang I’m good. (and hubby did good too!) Everytime the nachos called my name, I ate a couple Blue Diamond Almonds - jalapeno smokehouse <- my new favorite thing.
This is what it’s like to be on a mission. We take heat from our friends and family for being so determined, but we’re so happy for our progress, however small, that we just smile at each other and stick to our guns. I’m beyond grateful for him for so many reasons, but during this even more so.
And as I said, I was suppose to work this weekend, did all that and here I am writing how it all went. I’ve come to find that keeping up with my tranformation and working on it have become top priority and that is really cool. If I’m truly turning this into a lifestyle, I’ll be so happy! Wishing you all the same happiness! Take care.
