No action! Too much planning! Enough is enough!

Ok so I went to see a business presentation last night and turned out to be more of a what is my purpose in life contemplative mode.  So I’ve been in a bit of a funk today but it’s all good… he talked about not wanting to get out of our comfort zones to reach our goals (guilty), having analysis paralysis (guilty!!) and being too worried about failing and looking like a fool (guilty as charged!).

He also said if your dream is big enough, the facts don’t count.  You just go out and DO! ACT! INSPIRE!

It got me thinking, yes, I want to lose weight for me, for my health, for my energy, for the cute little things I’ll be able to wear for my hubby ;-) , but I also deep down want to know that my transformation will free someone else to do the same.

So my question to all of you who read this…. when I transform my body into fitness model form, will it inspire you and how?  I need to know this because I need to feel like if I don’t change my life, it will impact a lot of people…

Thanks in advance for responding!

You may not want to hear this. It’s not the kind of response you are looking for. But I take the time to write it because I care. I read your blogs and I see that you’ve been spinning your wheels for awhile. So consider this some ‘tough love’ :)

In my humble opinion…I think what you need to do is forget about how what you might or might not do will impact other people. If you don’t change you life, few will care besides maybe your close family. If you are truly serious about changing your lifestyle and transforming your body, your motivation has to come from deep within and you have to do it out of a desire to improve your body and your health. When it comes right down to it getting fit is something you do for yourself first beyond anything else. Your family or others can be part of your motivation, but I believe your primary motivation must be a personal, yes even a selfish, one. You have not yet found this motivation, if you had you wouldn’t have written this blog. You have to want this for yourself to in order to succeed, regardless of how anyone else thinks, reacts, or feels about it. Sure, its fine to inspire others and help motivate others. I am motivated by what I see on this site. But its a bonus, it can’t be your primary motivation, or you will never follow through. It’s OK to be selfish about your own body and your own health! When others around you see the results you will inspire some of them. Your health will enable you to be a more positive force in your children’s lives for many years to come. A lot of good things will happen but forget about it for now. Stop thinking about a healthy lifestyle and just LIVE IT! I wish you all the best.

Amen Anna. You need to feel if you don’t change your life, you’re robbing yourself. You deserve this, you can do this, and NOTHING is going to stop you!
