Wicked Week

May 15, 2009

My usual training partner has been out for the past 2 weeks so I’ve been training with my buddy Felix who has competed several times.

What a difference this is making.  We are getting through workouts in nearly half the time and by the end of each one I am usually flat on my back on the gym floor, talk about destroying me LOL.

On Tuesday I managed to strain my forearm doing bent over rows so have had my right forearm strapped up for the past couple of days and had to reduce the weight on some exercises where I could feel it interfering with my form.

Yesterday I managed to drop a dumbell on my left index finger while racking the dumbell, DOH!!! and the end of my finger is now black.  It didn’t affect today as we did legs.

OMG!! we manged to complete the leg workout in a little over 45mins and I was completely wasted.  I did manage 2 PR’s which is a nice end to an intense week.  230lb squats for reps (8) and 540lb leg press for reps (8).

I am really enjoying the intensity and feel that every workout this week has really made a difference.

I am really gonna enjoy the rest over the weekend before hitting the iron again on Monday.

Feeling Better Now!

April 30, 2009

Hi,

It has been a few days since I last posted and I just wanted to record how this week has been going so far.

My stomach seems to have settled down now and I am having fun at the gym again, I can’t honestly attribute this to Mitotropin as there was a bug going around the area that caused similar symptoms.  I’m going to wait until I finish this set of supplements and then maybe try it again.

Had a great week so far with all lifts increasing from previous weeks.  I am now warming up with weights that I previously had difficulty lifting which is a great mental boost.

My training partner had a problem with the tendon (ligament) on his right elbow so we didn’t work arms Monday or Tuesday.  We usually do Chest/Biceps (Mon) and Back/Triceps (Tues).  We switched the routine to skip our normal mid week rest day (Wed) and worked arms yestderday.  This was one of the best workouts we have done to date where we beat all our previous PR’s and by the end of the workout we were really pumped!

My mind is in a very positive state at the moment and I am loving the changes that are happening to my body and my lifestyle (nutrition included).

I have learned a lot from those around me in the gym and also from bodybuilding.com.

I have also reached a stage now where other gym members are mentioning the improvements to my size and strength (no huge weights yet LOL).  Some guys are also asking what exercises they can do for certain body parts and are also asking me to spot for them.  This is a huge mental boost re-enforcing the progress I am making.  I have also noticed that my posture is greatly improved and feel I am walking taller.

All in all I am in a great place physically and mentally and that can be attributed to bodybuilding.com, my wife (who is joining me on changing our nutrition regemin to eat healthier), my training partner and a guy called Felix (3 x Mr Dominican Republic).  If you have the support of people around you and the support from bodybuilding.com you can achieve what you want to achieve.

Back In The Saddle

April 23, 2009

Hi,

Update on how I’m getting on.

Today was the first day for a while where I had a solid phoo!!! LOL

Not sure if Mito had anything to do with this but haven’t taken any since my last blog entry.  To be fair to Mito, I have found out that there was a bug going around that caused similar symptoms to ones I described so it could have been that rather than the Mito.

I will stay with what I am taking for the rest of the week and then maybe try the Mito again next week.

Energy levels were higher today and I pushed myself harder and got a lot of satisfaction from the workout.  I didn’t feel more pumped and fired up as I have heard from other users of PlasmaJet and SuperPump but this could also be due to recovering from the possible bug going around.

Looks like this particular cycle may be a bust until I can be sure that there were no outside influences contributing to my earlier symptoms.

Once this month’s cycle is over I’m going to go back to a simple cycle of protein and creatine etc to create a baseline then maybe try again with the Gaspari stack to give a fair report on it.

At the moment I’m just happy that I am feeling good in the gym again. :)

Stack Problem

April 21, 2009

Ok,  been on this stack now since last Thursday and ‘Houston We Have A Problem’.

I am getting bad stomach ache, diarrhea and loss of appetite which is having a snowball effect on my training.

I believe this is being caused by the Mitotropin so I am stopping that as of now.

I am getting no noticable effects from the PlasmaJet or SuperPump250 and I am feeling lethargic and each workout is feeling like a chore.  This, I feel, is due to the effects of Mitotropin.  I am losing nutrients at an alrming rate due to the diarrhea and think that I am basically running on empty.  My nutrition regemin has also suffered due to the lack of appetite, so I am removing the Mitotropin from the mix to see if I can start to keep nutrients in my body and get back on track with my training.

I will update in a few days to report if I can begin to see if the reported effects of PlasmaJet and SuperPump250 begin to kick in.

Blog Entry

April 15, 2009

Hi,

Well, I’m 12 weeks in to my lifestyle change and I’m loving it.

I started on 19 Jan 2009 (wierd date I know but took me that long to kick myself up the ass after the new year.)

I have really started to look at nutrition, training routine and supplements and obviously it will always be a work in progress.

I managed to add nearly 20lbs over the course of the past 12 weeks so I am really happy with that especially as my waistline is not increasing so I must be on the right track.

One thing I have noticed is that I have been getting a reduction in energy in my morning workouts.  I am not sure but I believe there may be 2 reasons behind this.  About 10 days ago I started with Hydroxycut and at the same time removed carbs from my evening meal and I believe it may be the removal of those carbs that are causing the issue.  I do have carbs first thing in the morning about 2 hours before I hit the gym but there may be a defecit from the evening before.  I will just have to add the carbs back to confirm my suspicions.

All in all I am very happy with the progress so far.

I am about to start a cycle using Gaspari products.  SuperPump, Sizon, PlasmaJet, MyoFusion, Novedex XT and Mototropin so my next progress pics and blog entry will be after that cycle, that should give you some idea of the effects of those products.

Comments and suggestions always greatfully accepted :)

Until next time Ciao.
