Cutting out artificial sweeteners (will now be referred to as A.S.) is harder than I thought. I mean when you grocery shopping you have to think if anything you are getting contains them. Fat free yogurt has it, some protein powders have it, bars, sugarless gum, sugarless anything will have it. I was looking at a flavoured coffee that I was going to buy. I read the label and it contained maltodextrin which is a type of sweetener…booo! So I didn’t buy it of course. I was doing more reading on A.S. this morning and some of them do cause bloating. Since I mostly consumed Aspartame in my DP I have switched over to naturally carbonated mineral water. When I used to spend my sumners in Italy, carbonated mineral water was all I drank! It really helps when eating meal it doesn’t feel like you are just drinking water…. I have found that going cold turkey has been tough and I have been getting headaches etc …. I had a DP tonight but now i have my mineral water. 
There is only one tin of DP left. Once that is gone …. then I will have to suffer through the side effects! Anyhoo, the experiment continues…
