Over the hump?

I finally managed to get over the 187lb hump. I weighed in at 189lbs for the first time in my life today. Let’s just hope I’m adding more muscle than fat. I know adding fat during the bulking phase is unavoidable, but keeping it to a minimum is a good thing. Maybe I’ll break the 190 barrier this weekend.

Bored

So… I’m bored out of my mind at the hotel I’m in. I’m trying to decide if a trip to the hot tub is on the menu. I’m not sure how many profiles I’ve looked at tonight, but I’m sure it has to be a few hundred. Not to mention all of the articles I’ve read!

Boredom sucks. If it weren’t for this site I’d…. sleep.

Travel Day and Progress Notes

I hate travel day! Every other week, I hae to travel for work and stay overnight, so I miss a good workout. What I’ve started to do is body weight workouts in my hotel room as I am usually bored out of my mind. The hotel work puts me in is lacking in the workout department. Frankly, I hate the place I’m forced to stay. The last time I took a dip in the hot tub, I ended up kicking the light that was unattached, just chilling in the bottom of the tub. Thank God the seal on it was still good or else I wouldn’t be here.

I did manage to get a good back/bi workout this morning before coming to my main office. I’m incorporating different exercises into my normal routines and it seems to be helping.

I’m definitely putting on the weight on a consistant basis, but it’ll never happen fast enough for me. Of course, I haven’t supplemented my diet in well over a month, so that doesn’t help anything. I’ll see where I’m at on 12-1-08, I may have to supplement for the month of December in order to meet my weight goal.  

I am looking forward to cutting, but I’m not at the same time. This weekend I realized how out of shape my lungs are. I did a lot of walking in the woods (deer season) and I was breathing hard after a few short minutes. Grant it, I was bundled and it was below freezing outside, but I don’t think I should be that winded so fast. My 1000g Thinsulate boots sure didn’t help matter at all either.  I think the treadmill and I are going to fight.

Swords?!?!

Ok, I must know what the deal is with guys posting pics of themselves with swords. Can anyone clue me in on this one? Grant it, I took one of my senior pictures with a sword, when I was 18, but that was only because I was big into the martial arts. No, I just didn’t watch movies, I was actually studying the arts. The pictures I’m seeing on BB.com are swords from Dungens & Dragons, mystical weapons. At least pose with a sword William Wallace would be proud of.

Fixing my back

I changed my back routine this week and it seems to have worked so far. I’m definitely feeling the results. I simply wasn’t hitting my back hard enough, thus I was seeing disappointing results. I want to see a large back by the end of the year as it just makes my body seem that much bigger. I’ve been cursed with a small frame, but packing muscle on a small frame will show drastic results.

 Less than 50 days and I’ll start cutting some of my fat away. I have been considering trying a modified ‘300′ workout for a couple of weeks just after the first of the year. I figured it will help kick start fat loss. I still haven’t decided if I want a 6-pack or not. But, once i get started on cutting, I bet I won’t stop until I’m ripped.

 I still haven’t really started taking any supplements. I only had protein shakes for about a week, and that was over a month ago. I know I need to help my body make the changes I’m pushing it to make, so I have to supplement soon. I was thinking shakes and some sort of NO. Thoughts?

8 Weeks In

I’m officially 8 weeks in, and I’m in the 2nd week of bulking. I only wish my progress pictures showed how far I’ve actually come. My solution, train even harder so what I see shows up in my pictures!!!
