Your Gym

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

What is a "good" gym?  I workout at a small 24hr gym.  Since I go in at 4:45 in the morning, it’s nice, but there is a price to pay.  Every morning benches and machines are loaded down, water bottles on the floor, etc… The manager watches tape every day but it’s hard to catch everything.  It’s gets old.  Then there’s the regulars, the ones that are there everyday, but don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing.  I’m not an expert, and it’s not my place to tell someone what they are doing wrong, but DAMN it get’s on my nerves.  There is one lady that comes in at 6:00 every morning and get’s on the eliptical machine for an hour.  We have two diff.  four that have arms that don’t move and ONE that has arm’s that move, guess which one she uses.  She has been coming for about six months and hasn’t made any noticeable changes.  She wears headphones and sings out loud.  Then, when someone she knows comes in, she carries on conversation with the person 3or4 machines away.  Maybe I’m picky and maybe I’m just crying, but it bugs the hell out of me.  Am I the only one?

Burn Out

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Burn Out, what can you do?  I’ve made good strength gains in the 3 1/2 months I’ve been back in the gym, but it seem’s like everytime I get started good I feel this way.  I’ve done this the last 3 years.  I’ve got a good lifting partner for the first time,  and it has helped out alot, but getting up every morning is getting harder and harder.  I can’t seem to get committed to the diet, so therefore I’m not losing the fat, but I do see some changes in size.  I’m writing this to vent more than anything.  I’ve never written a blog before.  I know I’m not the only one that feels this way, but DAMN it sucks.  My wife doesn’t understand why I do the things I do, but I’m doing to show her that if you try as hard as u can, you can change your body for the better.  Enough of me bitching, got to go to bed, 4:00am comes early
