Energy was down today going in but picked up once I was warmed up and got into my routine. If you are not ready for legs...it will literally destroy you. On to the workout...
Leg Extension - 140 x 15 / 160 x 12 / 180 x 10 - finally topped out on this lift as I fell two reps short on my last set...great feeling when your quads have been dealt a blow going into leg press...
Leg Press - 350 x 12 / 370 x 10 / 390 x 8 - I know...10/8/6....right? Just up the reps today...anytime I go above 10, it gets me out of my comfort zone...do not know why. 10 or less...I can do all day long. But I'm not here for comfort...I'm here to get my ass kicked.
Leg Curl - 95 x 12 / 115 x 7 - And boom....3 reps short on the second set. Leg curl always hits me like this...just 5 lbs. difference and I come up short...but failure is a good thing.
Hack Squat - 40 x 12 / 60 x 10 / 80 x 8 - Once again, upping the reps...my body doesn't like it which is why I do it. Adding 5 lbs. next week.
Box S. D. L. - 95 x 12 / 115 x 10 - Stretching the Hamstrings so they will grow!
Calve Raises - 205 x 12 / 205 x 12 / 205 x 12 / 205 x 12 / 205 x 12
Great workout. Exhausted at the end with my legs feeling like jello...that's what we want.
