Dickhead is not a curse word……..or is it?

Legs and Abs:  Squats - 115 Leg press - 450 (not including sled) RDL - 95 Leg Extensions - 100? (can’t remember if it’s 100 or 110) Seated curls - 70 Seated calves - 180  Roman chairs - 3 sets Decline crunchs  Treadmill - 10 min.   So Saturday my son asked me to not swear for a day. He’s under the impression I’m going to hell for swearing…..I didn’t have the heart to tell him that there’s a long list of reasons why I’m going to hell and swearing is not on the top of them. :o

Last night, I had a bit of road rage. Said a few choice words. Here was the conversation between me and my son:

Son: Mom, I’m glad I don’t make you mad.

Me: Well, the guy was being a dickhead.

Son: Yeah, he is a dickhead.

Now normally my son won’t even repeat a bad word. Even if someone else says it and he tells me, he won’t say the word. He’ll just say the "s" word or whatever. So I was a little surprised to hear him say it.

Me: Do you think dickhead is a bad word?

Son: No Me: Do you know what it means?

Son: Yes, a penis head.

Me: Ok, true but when you call someone that it becomes a bad word.

Son: **No reply, just ponders this for a minute**

Me: So do you think a-hole is a bad word?

Son: No. Me: Why? Because it’s another body part?

Son: Yes. Me: So when I call your dad a dickhead or a-hole, it’s not a bad word right? :D

Son: No mom, those are bad words.

First day of new routine:

Chest and Tri’s:

(Warm up not included)
Incline db press - 25lbs
Flat db press - 27.5lbs
Cable crossovers - 10lbs
Pullovers - 27.5lbs
Decline pushups

SS:
Ezbar curls - 40lbs (did 50 w/ the most horrid form but I did get 5 in my last set )
Bench dips - bodyweight

Hammers - 17.5lbs
Close grip press - 40lbs (should have used 50 )

Cable curls (single) 10lbs
Rope pressdowns - 25lbs (last set = dropset)

15 minutes stairmill
5 cooldown treadmill

Stairmill was a breeze which was a surprise since I haven’t done it in a month. Great workout, no one to hold me back. Nothing on my mind buy my workout.

Partial rant

What can I say, my training partner is useless. She doesn’t have the drive I do, and we’re just on different training paths. Sunday starts the switch of my routine.

Chest & arms

Legs & abs

Back & shoulders

She doesn’t train chest because she has implants. She doesn’t want to do the leg exercises I have planned for us because she doesn’t want to look silly (****in priss). She’s been blessed with nice shoulders and arms so she’ll only use 5lb db. She never spots me. I miss the days of training with my ex-boyfriend. They ALWAYS pushed me to go heavy, I was pushing 6 plates easy on leg press when training with them. :(   I need a male training partner. The only one at my gym who can push me to my limits is Monday (power lifter) but our schedules are different.  Diet wise, it’s been spot on but I’m tired without my carbs. I don’t have the energy like I used to. But it could also be mental. Had a ton of stuff running through my head lately. I turn 37 next week. That’s almost 40. :( I could just cry right now. Today will be a much needed rest day and movies with my son. Looking forward to that.

Last nights back and bis was kinda weak. Meet up with the Disney Channel yesterday for lunch and some afternoon delight and I think that just wore me out. :D By the time I got to the gym I was soo tired, I forced myself to go heavy but I just couldn’t get that many reps out. 30 minutes of cardio and I was done. Slept like a baby though. ;)

So I’m finally over this stupid flu and sinus infection. Been back in the gym and hitting it hard. I haven’t lost any strength so that’s a great thing. Backed off the cardio some but still doing it. Posted a couple of update pictures this weekend. Not really impressed with my progress although there is some difference compared to the last one’s. Adding fruit back into my diet. I really miss it and with summer coming, that’s when all my favorites are fresh!!!
Not much else going on in life. My son is finished with basketball, they won their championship game. :D No dates, and no prospects. Maybe it’s me? Anyways, I’m going to start studying for my pt cert again. Put that down when I got sick……yeah, I know. Just another excuse.

Burnt out

Been feeling burnt out lately. I’ve been really tired. Draggin ass during the day. I can barely keep my eyes open by 8:30 and I’m asleep by 9. Hard time waking up, if it weren’t for the am pills in REDuction I would probably take twice as long to get ready for work.  Workouts haven’t changed too much. Much more cardio. 30-60 minutes almost everyday. Diet hasn’t been the best. Everyday I seem to throw in some kinda cheat in there. Not much in will power.   My son’s last basketball game this weekend (championship game!!) so that means less running around soon. Yay!
