Yesterdays workout.

I finished my box of REDuction Sunday so yesterday I was draggin ass. Didn’t want to go but after I popped my WB and GM I was feeling more awake.

Cycle 1:
Jump rope (had a good rhythm going today)
Pull-ups
Jump Squats
Push-ups

Cycle 2:
Jump rope
Chin-ups
Leg raises

Time: 17 minutes

Cardio:
4 minutes - Treadmill 5.2sp@1
6 minutes - Treadmill 3.5sp@3

My shins were hurting so I stuck with walking. Not a bad workout considering I was so tired today. Was asleep by 8 last night but I feel more awake today. Tonight will be chest and triceps.

I always seem to have shin issues whenever I raise the incline on a treadmill… don’t really have issues when it comes to outdoor hills, though. Not sure if that’s the cause? Great workout, though - rock ON with the chin-ups!! :)

I’ve noticed that shins hurting have to do with impact. You might want to exchange the jump squats for something low impact or find a softer surface to perform them.

I’m pretty sure it’s from the jump rope. I’m already jumping on carpet which makes it really hard. I’m trying to land lighter too.

Keep in mind that things like Running shoes don’t provide a great deal of impact-resistance since they’re there to ensure that you run fast, so if you’re wearing runnin shoes, you’re asking for shin-splints like I used to have. 1. Consider wearing shoes with more cushion like bball shoes or heavy insoles. 2. You can cut out jump-squats by using light weight and just doing explosive lifts if you need to. Good luck in the future.

Head feel better today??? And yes jump rope makes my shins sore, as well as my calves (especially my calves!). Great workout!
