Doctor’s appointment

My friend the personal trainer/minister is joining my gym today! So I’ll have a training partner again. I’m excited. He wants me to go high reps to tone up for the summer. If I don’t have someone pushing me to go light, I won’t. I’m all about as heavy as I can. Now this also means another $20 gift certificate for me, so last week I got the Syntha-6 (chocolate) which I love!!! So yummy, but I read to mix regular protein with soy protein and it’ll help reduce your waist size. (I believe it was in Oxygen Mag) So I think I’ll give it a shot. I need to add more protein into my diet. I’ve cleaned it up alot but I’m still not getting enough protein. I may need to do 2 scoops instead of 1.

I’ve been keeping track of everything in fitday. Feel free to take a peek and tell me what you think I should change. I’ve lost 2lbs this weekend and I think I’ll keep this diet until I plateau.

 Almost forgot. I went to the doctor today for my back and he referred me to Physical Therapy, so I go Thursday for my evaluation. I can’t wait. My back still bothers me. Ok, I have a confession. Although I originally strained my low back with the hack squat machine and sumo’s, everytime it gets better I re-injure it with "domestic cardio". **blushing** I know, but what’s a gal to do? Cry out stop in mid…….no way!  Those are the moments when pain is good. **giggle**

    yeah I can agree those are the moments where pain is good, but after, you make sure you get a massage, or some icy hot on it—you’re back…. lol

    Hey when you see the PT and they start talking to you about muscle groups, look at them like you’re completely lost, get them to dumb it down as much as possible then hit them with all the proper names…. :D It can be you’re mini memory self pop quiz; not to mention fun.. :D

    Awesome! I am super jealous of your training partner! LOL@your confession. What a way to hurt that back!! Hehehehe! No better way to do it. ;) Your diet looks super duper clean, Laurie! In my opinion, I find whole foods to be a more satisfying source of protein, so if you ever find yourself feeling a bit hungry, maybe swap out a few of those shakes and throw in some tuna or chicken breast? :) Otherwise, looking good! Congrats on the 2 pounds!! keep it up!

    haha!! My reading goes ‘Of course, hacks and sumos = injury, and dome—HEY! LOL" A very Pixi moment indeed ;) Good luck with your eval. I’d pimp out my hubby for a massage fixin if we were in the same state.

    LMAO, heeey (thinks a moment), well, okay, that’s how I read it, too j/k ;)

    So you KNOW I have a thousand and one comments that I could make on the domestic cardio and injured back, but since I’m suffering from back troubles of my own and would rather not have karma bite me in the bum (not to mention I’m a freakin lady), then I’ll keep my mouth shut. ;)

    YAY for the workout partner, though - I’d love to peek in to your workout schedule, too (hrm, wait, or are you keeping track on the workout tracker… must check this out…), and your diet looks awesome!! You’re going to look even hotter for the summer time… be sure to make some bibs for all the drooling boys!! ;)
