Pain, pain, pain

OMG! Last week my low back was bothering me. This week it’s killing me. Went to do a light back workout this morning and I couldn’t do low cable rows or the bent over rows. I can’t even get in and out of my car without it just tighting up on me. I’ve been using the icy/hot on it and that helps, but not much. I’m thinking that I need to lay off the weights this week and maybe just do cardio. I was going to go back in after my errands and just do cardio but now I’m not sure if I’ll be doing much but laying on the floor next to my pooch!

Hey girl! That SUCKS!!! :( You definitely do NOT want to mess around with back problems - I hope you stay far far away from the weights until you feel the pain lessening. Are you going to the doctor at all?? Maybe get that checked out!

Oh girl! That really bites! Sorry to hear your back is still aching so bad! Mine finally cleared up…but it took about 3 days which I am TOTALLY not used to! And I think we tried that exercise out on roughly the same day! So i’m feeling for you!!

Definatly switch to the cardio this week and let your back have a chance to heal more! I know that will probably ‘kill you’ since your definatly a ‘lift girl’!! But healing up that low back is more important so you can get back at it hard!!

I agree with everyone above, I would also take an anti inflammatory like Advil. Make sure you space it out so you can take one before bed. I am the king of back pain as I do a lot of beach photography for the Pro Beach AVP tour and holding 30 lbs of equipment in front of you for 12 hours hurts like hell.

    Get well soon.
