Teeny Tiny Setback

I noticed yesterday when I went for my afternoon walk that my left hamstring was a little sore. I expected it with all the stretching I did with the yoga the night before. So I got to the gym to hit legs. Did regular squats and felt fine but when I hit lunges that hamstring really started to bother me. Most of you would have stopped there I’m sure but nope, I went on to my 1 legged quats on the Hack machine. After 1 set I couldn’t squat on my left leg. Nope, not even half way it hurt so bad just to put my weight on it. Crap! So I’m limping around the gym to finish my workout with leg extensions, leg curls and calves. So today I’m still limping a bit. Doesn’t hurt as much as it did last night. I guess I’ll have to skip my afternoon walk so hopefully I can do cardio tonight. For the first time in weeks I didn’t have to fight with my jeans to get them on this morning! We’re going dancing this weekend and I’ll be damned if I’m going to be a wallflower.

    Whoo for the jeans victory. So you’re going dancing tonight with sore legs? You still limping?

    Well if push comes to shove you can create a dance that involves limping. LOL!!!! That would be cool to see.

    @goddessamazon: Slow dancing, if done Curt-style(?), all you do is move around in a circle while holding your partner. Perfect for the hamstring-injured crowd!

    @bull.dogz: Can you pinpoint when you hurt your leg? I pulled my middle back or something, some muscle somewhere in my middle back. I’m heading to the gym to do… back (Bah!) and biceps. I’m hoping it goes well, but I might have to bag an exercise or two.

    I wanted to go full tilt after getting over this cold-flu thing mostly, but looks like all I’ve done is pull something due to sloppy form. Double BAH!

    Ahem.

    So, have fun dancing! :)

    ( I’ll be the wallflower grumblnig about his aches and pains.)

    Hee, I do the same… if I feel something sore, I kinda think, "hrm, maybe I’m making it up…"

    Good deal about the jeans girl but bummer about the leg. I know your a tough mutha though so a little excruciating pains not gonna keep you from dancing!
