My little bad ass!
Hit legs yesterday at the gym….after my pants splitting peep show. Did the usual squats and lunges but I’ve added one legged squats to my routine too. We have this funky hack squat machine that I call the girlie machine. Only the women who are afraid to do real squats on the squat rack use this machine. Anyways, I love doing the one legged on this cause you don’t have to worry about balance and can concentrate on the muscle alone. This thing really kicks my a$$ literally. I was already feeling it last night when I went to bed so I know I’m going to be in some serious pain tomorrow. Nothing a little yoga can’t fix.
Took my poochie for a walk after the gym. It was beautiful out. Sunny and warm compared to the gloomy grey and rain we’ve had the last couple of weeks. I was wearing a tank top and it felt great. Anyways, Roxy is a really protective and aggressive dog. Even though she’s only a foot tall she believes she’s as big as a mastiff and as tough as a pitbull. This stray comes strolling up to Roxy. I’ve got her on a leash and I can already tell this means trouble. This dog looked like a lab and dalmation mix. Three times the size of Roxy. Roxy didn’t even give this dog a sniff. She just went straight for the throat. I sure as heck wasn’t about to stick my hand in there to split them up. I finally got them split up. Yes I had to give the other dog a little kick, well more like a shove with my foot while pulling Rox away. I look at Roxy and she’s foaming at the mouth and blood is dripping out. We get away from the other dog and I gave Rox the once over to see how badly she’s hurt. Other than a little tiny cut on her nose she was fine. The blood was from the other dog. Haha, that’s right my little Rox is a bad ass! I love animals but inside I was rooting for my little bully to kick some ass. Never under-estimate the little dog! We may be smaller but that just means we have easier access to the throat!

bulldogs are solid and stronger than dogs many times their size, and they have wonderfully low center of gravity and outragously strong jaws…. and its all about the size of the fight in the dog, not the size of the dog in the fight. well I guess to a point, my brothers malmute could probably just pick a small vicious dog up in his mouth…… but the bulldogs are unreasonable solid, I find it creepy

Bulldogs are great! Solid muscle and powerful jaws. Good to see you getting back at it!

That squat machine………..is that the kind you lay on your back and push up in the air with your legs????
I’m an animal lover anyway and seeing your cute bulldog makes me go awwwwwwww!

Hahaha, that’s awesome!! Lil’ Roxy is just as feisty and as much of a scrapper as her owner. Awesome workout, too!!

No this one is a standing one but same concept and it’s a cable weight instead of free weight. Same thing as the upside down one legged press but I find it does work your core alittle more because you still have to somewhat balance on one leg even though your leaning against the machine. I can really feel it in the center of my glutes.

My exgirlfriend had a chihuahua that would go ballistic whenever another dog was near. Three dobermans were approaching and "Taco" went right for them!
Thank god for tall fences and short leashes.
