Gave myself an early Christmas present today a new personal record on the dead lift. Have wanted 405 for awhile now, last time I tried, about a month ago. got 405 about 6 inches off the floor. Started off today with 135 x 10 225x 5 and 315 x 3 for a warmup, loaded up 405 and bam took it right up! that was too easy I said to myself so did 410, again seemed easy, so tried 415, bam did it , now I'm pretty tired so I decided not to push my luck. 415 with a double over hand grip is pretty good, not great, but good. Especially for an old guy way past his prime with a double hernia. i wanted to get 500 before I turned 50, suddenly it seems a lot closer, since I'm not even 49 yet!
