gym ediquette?

2 part blog/questions:

I’ve been going to World Gym for a little bit now and I’ve noticed a fair share of attractive ladies there. when compared to most of the guys that are there at the same time, my chance is slim as is but do ladies like being talked to/hit on at a gym? or is it a distraction/annoying or shallow or disgusting (all the sweat/dirt and whatnot) to do so?

I am taking a 16hr drive to Chicago tomorrow night, which means I probably will not get to sleep tomorrow at all. Seeing how important sleep is for muscle growth/recovery, is it even worth it to work out tomorrow?

Not many people follow my blogs (no one I believe actually) but if someone could help me out here i’d appriciate it.

I cannot comment from a ladios POV obviously, but I say go into the gym to workout…not to mack on women…THAT’s gym etiquette.

I think that it is all in how you approach someone. You don’t really need to "hit on them" do you? Can’t you just strike up a convo? Just say Hi?..Just be yourself, don’t try to drop any "lines" on them and I think that it is okay to strike it up. Personally when I was single I would rather have had a guy at the gym come up and talk to me than some outa shape guy in a bar. You know it already gives you something in common to talk about…

The ladies still like a gentleman. If you go to the gym to workout, then by all means, workout. If you happen to need to exchange words make sure it’s related to the workout experience (are you using this machine, can we alternate turns on this bench, etc.). If there is a girl in the gym for you, it will happen. No need to push it. Most ladies I see in the gym are even more focused than us guys. I don’t think they are their to socialize much. Just my opinion.

About the traveling deal, you need all the energy you can get. Rest during the day, don’t workout. On the road take some good high quality protein snacks and drinks. Be safe!

Good luck on your drive, I have done the NY to Milwaukee drive a few times, and I think PA is the worst state to drive through, just cause its so large and your driving through that state for about 7 hours. Around Amherst Ohio you can get cheap gas, and depending what you drive, fill up and should last you to Chicago. About girls at the gym , thank you for wearing those short tight shorts so us guys can enjoy the scenery..

thanks for all the input, im not planning to go to the gym to pick up chicks, but it would be nice to make a new friend every now and then. ill try to not make a habit of it either.

no input about working out tomorrow though? i’m thinking its a bad idea to workout and not sleep that night

If you lack confidence in yourself, you’re never going to stop being the skinny guy who gets sand kicked in his face. And I definitely sense that you lack confidence…so instead of asking other people for permission to hit on women in gyms, I suggest being your own advisor, keeping your own counsel, and selecting your own decisions. If you a see a girl in your gym that interests you, approach her, hit on her, say hello or whatever…just believe in yourself and stop saying that you have no chance compared to the other guys in the gym. You can’t please everybody…some women will not appreciate your advances…others will appreciate your advances…**** ‘em…just do what YOU want…
