Too Busy…or am I?

Man, ever have those months where you are, like, too busy to pee?  Yeah, that’s me right now.  But, even though my heart isn’t in it because I have other shit to do, I’m getting my workouts in.  Even though I probably haven’t seen myself in a mirror in months, I’m sure I’m making progress.  That’s the funny thing about this whole workout thing — your heart & mind don’t REALLY have to be in it, so long as you put the work in.  I’m sure I look fine, I just wouldn’t know it.  I’m doing the same things I would do if I *WAS* into it right now and…ultimately…that’s all that really matters.

100lb Dumbbells

I have done it — I have benchpressed 100 lb dumbbells!  I certainly can press them without too much trouble: I repped about 10, 6, and 4 times in 3 sets.  But as always, just picking the damn things up is daunting!!  I plan to continue adding 5 lbs and see how far this can go.  In theory, getting up to 115lb shouldn’t be that difficult for me assuming I can get them off the rack.

From 9.9% to….9.5%

Another 3 weeks, another drop in bodyfat!  I lost another pound of fat for the 4th straight time, now measuring in at 16.2.  My "lean mass" stayed steady.

I’m a little surprised as I felt I had maxed out but the "less is more!" plan continues to post gain after gain.  I’m riding this puppy as long as I can!

Well, its that time again when I put my "less is more" philsophy under the hydroweigh-scope.  Its been about 3 weeks.  Last time I set recent lifetime lows with 9.9%.  I feel like I’m a bit less lean right now, but I have been keeping things going so I figure it can break either way.  Last time might have just been a "peak" reading.  Or, does the ball keep on rolling downhill?

Working out:  B+, keeping it going on 9 day rotations, good intensity

Eating:  B+,  had my share of bad food but consistent with my overall pattern lately

Drinking Beer:  A+, I’ve done a fabulous job drinking beer lately

Posting Bodyspace Messages:  C-, I’ve been slacking.  This could hurt my results!

95 lb dumbbells

I’ve switched to using more dumbbells largely because its "recommended".  Granted, my chest is pretty good from the standard benchpress so I don’t know if I’ll be able to discern any difference longterm but it should be more effective.

Of course with dumbbells, the weight goes down because of the increased difficulty.  To me, the hardest part is just picking the damn things up — holy crap!!!

I’ve been able to progressively increase over the last few weeks. I started at 80 or 85, did 90 early last week, and now did 95!!  Next time….100?  I can hardly imagine lifting 100 lb dumbbells let alone pressing them, but I’ll try.  Hey, its a new challenge.
