Getting used to the air at 6000+ feet
Finally moved to Colorado and I have to tell you that this place holds an intense amount of energy. Everything just feels different and you see things in a wider aspect…its just beautiful. The mountains…the rolling land…the low clouds and before you know it, the snow is falling. The sun comes out and it is all renewed and the cycle begins again…breathtaking. The wind speaks here.
So I ventured out and found places to run. My body can still hold and move to its full extent but WOW my lungs are not used to it. They burn and ache so to as I am to catch my breath but I can still sprint. the burn and ache feels good to let me know that I am still alive. I am slowly adapting and becoming more acclimated to the air, I just have to get out and continue to run. Four miles every other day…tomorrow is one of them…so here I go off back into the world where the wind speaks as I howl.
