Noooooooo! They made me switch shifts hopefully it doesnt take me long to get adjusted to the new schedule. Its not that bad and I actually think that this could benifit me in the long run also.

Question

I was working out in the gym the other day when this guy came in with a female. As he was lifting weights it was obvious that he was more concerned with being big poppa pump up than actually do a workout. But I digress. He started to do bench press and was going to parallel and then back up. I told him those only counted if he either touched his chest or broke parallel. He told me that going past parallel gave you a potential danger of hurting your rotator cuff. One, was I wrong for what I said? Two, is it better to stop at parallel or go past.

I’m back after taking a two day hiatus so that I can recoup. Still haven’t started cardio as strong as I should but I will. Anywho, I’m got biceps and triceps today.  I’m gonna pump some serious iron today.

Nothingness

Today is Bicep’s and Triceps one of my favorite days but due to the lack of spirit I’m fighting off the demons that are telling me to screw working out. I finally got my memory card so I’m gonna try and upload a recent profile pic and some progress pics. Please do not shriek in fear. I’m all for constructive criticism on things that I need to work but keep in mind there is also a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Well I’m about to go pump some Iron then I’m taking a shower then taking some pics.

Starting to Lose Motivation

I don’t know whats going on but for some reason I’m really losing motivation. Today it took almost two hours to do a workout that should have taken thirty minutes less. NOt only that I just couldn’t put up the numbers like I usually do. I don’t know its seeming very drab around here. I’m lacking somewhere. I really need to lose a lot of this weight around my chest and stomach. I think those are my worst areas. Any who, I’m about to hit the sack, if someone could leave some words of motivation it woujld be nice I really feel down in the Weightlifting dumps.

Today is a chest workout day. Do some decline Bench press,  Cable Crossovers, wide pushups that sort of thing. Anybody have suggestions on a pretty good workout.

Day Off

October 18, 2008

Today is my day off from the weights so I’m gonna hit up some Cardiovascular training. I’ve already jumped rope a little bit an I’m probably going to do some more. After I get off work I’m going to hit up the cardio room and do an hour on the elliptical. Depending on how I feel afterwards, I might run down to the Launch and Recovery Site and go play some basketball. Or I might just do some regular ole ab workout. I could really use the ab workout. Well hopefully the rest of the day goes ok so I can continue to stay motivated throughout the day. O and I have been bad. I ate some really greasy hashbrowns today. I think I would lose weight faster if I could find the discipline to eat better. This is gonna be hard work. I feel so good when I work out sometimes but feel so bad when I eat a bunch of crap. But its one of the few things that make me happy here while deployed. Listen to me I sould like Fat Bastard. "I eat cause I’m unhappy and I’m unhappy cause I eat. Well go to go.

Wow

So today I signed a piece of paper saying that I’m getting demoted because I didn’t lose the required weight for this month. Yep thats right instead of losing three pounds I actually gained five and didn’t lose any body fat. So I will be demoted so they can set an example for the rest of the company. I’m not sweating it though. But I did think I kind of had a factor on my mood in the gym. Oh well what happens happens and there is no need to make excuses because its my fault I didn’t work harder or set priorities.

Yeah buddy! Another wonderful day in Afghanistan with the United States Army. NOT! But thats not what I’m here to write  about. Today is another workout day with Digi. I’m going to be working out Chest and Triceps. Trying to  get this chest so big and strong. I think I’m gonna push extra hard. I saw Jay Cutler’s chest workout video and It really pumped me up. Motivated me. Well If anyone wants to leave some words of motivation or anything feel free I’m always game for something to make me push harder. And for those who already left motivation thank you I really appreciate it.
