Veins?!?!

Ok, my question may be silly but it needs to be asked. Ever since I began exercising, my veins have been more pronounced. Not that they pop out. That hasn’t happened (yet). But I can see the blue and red lines a lot more over my body. Why does this happen? And how can I get them to actually "pop" out more. I like veiny arms. If that’s even a word. Thanks.

    Hey there

I get that a lot too- I think SpeedyMoney is right, that it depends on your bodyfat- so when you’re training, the increased pressure and exertion makes the veins stand out more. I use it as a bit of a sign that I’m working out hard- so well done for training hard- keep it up!

Yeah, I like/have vascularity too - lol - that sounds so weird. Two ways you can keep and increase this is 1) continue working out with weights. 2) take supplements that promote it such as

Make sure it is safe for females. I don’t know if it is or not.

As your muscle mass increases so does its need for nutrients and waste product removal. Your vascular system adapts by creating more blood vessels to handle the supply and demand of your muscles. This is one of the reasons people who are fit burn more calories more efficiently than fat people.
Due to the increased metabolic activity of muscle, ensure you hydrate appropriately. This will make it easier for your body to get rid of wastes.
To get more vascularity, continue exercising and making gains. Have fun at the gym :)
