Carb Cyclers! A few questions?
So far I have been eating fairly well. You know, veggies, good carbs, lots of protein. Blah, blah. Anyways, I have been reading that carb cycling is a good way to eat and lose fat especially when nearing a plateau. I wanted to know, who out there does this and has it worked for you? And what does your carb cycling entail. The one I plan on doing is High Carb, Low Carb and No carb. I still have no idea how to get away with the low carb. I guess I’ll be eating a lot of veggies, chicken, tuna and egg whites on that day.

I haven’t messed too much with carb cycling, I’ve heard it works. What I’ve found works more fopr me is calorie cycling (I’m pretty sensitive to carbs though). I’ve broke several plateaus this way. I also have to mention I keep my carbs at a "low" % - 20% of daily calories. I also taper my carbs as the day progresses. My fruits are eaten in the morning, and I don’t eat many carbs after lunch. It seems to make a big difference. Curious to see how it works for you.

I haven’t tried it nor have I heard of it but… I have been doing the Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno and so far I have lost 7lbs in 2 weeks. I am never hungry as I feel like I am eating all day all of the time!! You should check out her website: http://www.eatcleandiet.com/
There is also a magazine Clean Eating that is pretty good also. It gives you meal ideas and a shopping list. I get worried about carb diets as they make my sugar levels whacky. I am a borderline diabetic so I need the right carbs if you know what I mean. Hope it works out for you!

Yes it works! I will try to find a link for you about it. I can almost replace your cardio. The idea of it is hard to grasp or explain, basically your body uses carbs as fuel for energy, and ultimately needs more energy to burn it all, so you end up loosing weight from you body working overtime to digest the food you ate. if that makes sense. Some people like myself just doubled up on my carbs (instead of 1/4 cup oats I had 3/4, 1 meal with carbs became 2 meals with rice, ect). Some people use that day as an all out cheat fest, eating everything they see and want. it works for them though, 2-3 days later you found you lost 4 pounds.
