Every Gym Should Have This

A chiropractor on site, Peak Fitness in Charlotte partnered up with Chiropractic Fitness Centers and they have offices inside of the gym.  Talk about convienence, you can get an adjustment before or after your workout and if you injure yourself working out someone can assist you right away.

What a difference a change makes

I changed my workout routine about a month ago, switched chest and shoulder days, combined arms to one day and moved back to day 5.  Doing shoulders before chest has improved both body parts, I am able to shoulder press more than before and I don’t feel incredibly weak doing chest.  Before the change, I would start the week with chest after 2-3 days off and I always felt myself struggling and making little gains.  I think will try a 3-4 month rotation and see how that works.

Great Week

It’s been a month since coming back from yet another injury, good thing my doctor has an office right in the gym.  I’ve been pushing harder with each week, making sure not to put to much strain on my elbow and the gains are showing.  Hit a personal best on the shoulder press with 6 reps at 135 with no assistance, went back to super setting side laterals and front raises.  My elbow has been behaving with my arms workout, I’m still getting deep tissue massage in the area where it hurt and it is responding really well.  Yesterday was legs days which turned out just to be a quad day since I had nothing left in the tank afterwards.  I focused  on my form on squats, going really deep and a good tempo, followed the same plan on leg press and leg extensions.  Felt like I was going to puke after leg extensions so I called it a day, and you know you had a great leg workout when you almost fall leaving the gym because your legs are like jelly lol.
