elliptical (no moving hands!) total 20 min. Alternating…5 minutes of ramp@13 resistance@8 strides per minute @ 150; 5 minutes of ramp@13 and resistance@13 strides per minute @ 100 THIS FELT SO DAMN GOOD…
Circuit and Supersets…
timer is set for 50 seconds. i alternate from chest to back then biceps to triceps with NO rest. after completing 3 sets of chest and back, i move on to tris and bis
DB press 20lbs. alternating with seated row 40lbs.
cable press down 30lbs. alternating with cable curl 40lbs.
Yesterday was an off day due to female issues but will be back in today!!!!!!!!!

THIS SITE IS REALLY COOL…
February 5, 2009i was feeling in the dumps yesterday. I think a lot of it comes from not working (seems weird i know). but after explaining this on my blog i got great responses and a lot of motivation from other members. i didn’t really think i would get many responses but i did. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. sometimes hearing it from strangers is the best!
i also came to the conclusion that i actually do better when i don’t spend an hour putting a program together and then telling myself that i must follow it. i’m just going to the gym and do i feel needs to be done. that’s whats always worked before so i will stick to that. it seems that simplicity is the way to go.

motivation is in the toilet…
February 4, 2009not sure why but i’m having a hard time getting to the gym. i’m not working right now and it seems i do a whole lot better when i have structure. anyway, it seems i’m either working too much or not enough. the day i find that balance will be a huge victory. SOMEONE MOTIVATE ME PLEASE. I NEED TO GET MY ASS IN GEAR!!!!!!! THX

feeling better but starting over
February 2, 2009i’ve been sick for the last few days but today i feel much better….YAYYY!!!! however, i am starting my workout schedule over. no big deal. here is what i will be doing…
day 1) upper body circuit supersets; easy run
day 2) heavy legs and glutes; good stretch
day 3) Rest or Yoga
day 4) upper body circuit supersets; run, sprints
day 5) heavy legs and glutes; good stretch
day 6) Rest or Yoga
day 7) upper body circuit supersets; long run
REPEAT

learning to simplify the preperation of a workout…
January 28, 2009i have come to the realization that I make my preperation for workouts WAY WAY too complicated! i have this thing where i need to have everything perfectly in line to go. otherwise, i don’t get there. visiting my friend michele has made me realize this. her and i grabbed a bag, put what we needed in it, changed clothes and we were out the door. she doesn’t have a huge pre-production self talk before leaving like i usually do. i feel like it’s not worth going to the gym if, "i don’t have the right songs on my ipod", "if i have to use different tennies", "i have no caffine in my system", "if it’s late". I NEED TO STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND JUST GRAB A BAG, CHANGE CLOTHES AND GO. it’s not complicated like i’ve been making it!!!!!!!!! so….last night it was 8pm (which is usually WAY late for me to get to the gym) and i got dressed and headed to the gym. i didn’t think about anything except getting there. while doing warm up i figured out what i was going to workout on. it worked well and this needs to be my approach to getting my ass to the gym. REALIZE THAT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT, JUST GET THERE.

January 25, 2009Went for a 20 minute morning run and it turned into a 2 hour adventure walk. Visiting friends in Long Beach, CA (my previous residence) and enjoying the weather and people. Ran for only 20 due to the weather being so hot. Very strange that it is this hot here because it is usually in the 50s during this time of year. I have been making good food choices except friends took me to mexican restaurants 3 times since I’m here. Mexican restaurants have to be the very worst when trying to eat healthy. Besides that, my choices have been consistantly improving and I hope to see a difference soon!!

Sunny Cali is oh so GREAT
January 22, 2009Loving cali!! Worked out with friend that I’ve never worked out with before and haven’t worked out with anyone in a long time. Felt great and we are somewhat on the same level which made it fun. Did 40 min. cardio, upper body circuit (light) and did some heavy legs. Didn’t go super heavy due to lack of fitness level.

GOING BACK TO CALI
January 19, 2009I will be in cali for the next two weeks and I’m so excited to see if the same spinning instructors are at Bally’s. They rock and I hope to join them again. The weather is great out there right now so getting my runs in should be a breeze. I have been eating really well and I’m making progress on my habits. Going to start lifting heavier and more often. Hope to have progress pics soon.
