Layne Norton’s PHAT Routine: Day 2, Wk 6 (6/26/2012)
Still searching for a different preworkout.
I used HEMO-RAGE Bruisin' Berry on Monday. I liked it, but didn't care for the flavor. Honestly nothing tastes as bad as RAZOR8 though; RAZOR8 works well, but it tastes like poison (the triple berry). I think I'm going to go back and purchase HEMO-RAGE.
LEG DAY!! I want to throw a party every single time it's leg day. 
Day 2, Week 6: Lower Body Power Day
Assistance extension movement:
Leg Extensions
3 x 6 reps
@ 90 lbs, each leg
Pressing Power Movement:
Hack Squat Machine
3 x 5 reps
@ 210 lbs first set
@ 220 lbs last two sets
Assistance pressing movement:
Leg Press
4 x 6 reps
Did 6 sets instead...I had to see how far I could get beyond 500 lbs for 6 good reps. Only 20 more lbs. I'll take 20 lbs, better than zero lbs. 
@ 500 lbs first three sets (45 x 10 + 25 x 2)
@ 510 lbs (45 x 10 + 25 x 2 + 5 x 2)
@ 520 lbs last two sets (45 x 10 + 35 x 2)
Assistance pulling movement:
Stiff Legged Deadlifts
4 x 5 reps (did 5 sets instead)
@ 140 lbs (bar + 45 x 2 + 2.5 x 2)
Assistance pulling/curling movement:
Lying Leg Curls
5 x 6 reps
@ 130 lbs
Seated Leg Curls
5 x 6 reps
@ 160 lbs
***Calf Raises on back of Incline press
Go to failure 8 sets
53 reps, 50 reps, 25 reps, 25 reps, 28 reps, 29 reps, 31 reps, 25 reps
^60 sec rests only
So after those first two sets of 53 and 50, my calves were not happy, lol.
Calf Press on Leg Press
@ 500 lbs x 20 reps
Stripped 50 lbs off so I could go to failure;
didn't feel comfortable going to failure with 500 lbs
@ 450 lbs for 6 sets
25 reps, 30 reps, 35 reps, 25 reps, 30 reps, 35 reps
^60 sec rests only
Walked 5 min @ 2.5 mph then stretched
