I don’t know…Maybe I’m wrong?

I need some help here my friends… a young man came to me asking for some advice on how to start a transformation challenge, seeing the one I was in. I helped all I can and he and a friend started, well this kid, did not post any pictures, any stats, and was silent for more than a week. Suddenly he comes on saying he lost 30 pounds in a week and now his sights are doing an ironman triathalon. Well I will post the link to his thread and let it go from there…

After that he PMs me with this gem…

Do u know waht it is m8 jsut because someone has a chance of doing something that u cannot achieve u get jealous and try to make that person feel soo small ur jus an arogant man.
<strong />
I didn’t say anything derogatory to him, I told him that it really isn’t a contest if you don’t show where you started from.  Am I really arrogant?

    No worries. He is a young kid who is pulling your chain. I found it hard to believe his reports as I followed each little blog of his. All of the sudden he can run for hours on end? His diet sucked and anyone who helped him he just backlashed at. Really think he lost 30? Doubt it. Most people who lie or full of it react to you just like he did. Don’t beat yourself up over this one.

    I’m with you. That dude doesn’t sound like he is serious and is a little immature about the whole thing. You’re far from arrogant, he just doesn’t like being told something he doesn’t want to hear. I’d just ignore him.

  3. JayAllen20 Says:

    well first of all, you’re right. WIthout a starting point you can’t tell how far you’re gotten. When it’s a ‘contest’ you have to follow the rules. Simple as that. And 30 lbs in a week isn’t possible unless he had a limb cut off. LOL. Hmmmm. Would that be cheating? Technically, it’s lost weight. HAHA

  4. bb24 Says:

    As much as I firmly believe you are in the right here, and as frustrating and sad as it might be, there are always going to be people out there like that. Especialy on the world wide web, where they can remain unknown until they decide to miraculously appear. Let him go, he’s not worth your stress.

    Right now you’re progress is amazing! So focus on that, and you’ll do just fine.

    You were supportive, and he didn’t play by the rules. You’re worth too much to be entangled in this. LET IT GO!! Focus on your positive progress.

    He’s just a stupid kid (or a perve with nothing better to do then pretend like he’s a kid) Oviously he’s just liar. ****’em.

  7. IronIc Says:

    Yeah … no one can lose 30 lbs in a week (it’s very difficult to lose that in a month! lol)

    Don’t let his pm bother you, Brian. He is obviously in a state of delusion.

  8. suzysunshine Says:

    yeah brian you know better then that…dont let it get u going. Remember there are all kinds out here.
