I decided to start running again…
Saturday, August 11th, 2007I have steered away from running (which is an exercise I actually love) for a few months because I was told (by a close friend of mine, who’s a full-time personal trainer) that my muscle tissue was being catabolized when I ran, which was causing muscle loss instead of fat loss…and it was delaying my results (firm up/slim down).
So, I replaced running with Spinning, which is awesome…but I’m still not getting as firmed up as I want to be yet either, so I’m going to start running again, as a suppliment to my workout routines. And thanks to the advice of a couple people, I’m getting a heart rate monitor so I can monitor my heart rate while I run, in order to stay in the fat burning range. I’m hoping that running again, in addition to my other workouts, will help me with the fat loss I want.
