My jump rope I ordered just came in the mail And compered to other forms of cardio, in comparison they pale So I decided to try and give it a shot Not realizing that my legs afterwards wouldn’t feel so hot It was all fun, and I felt like a kid Till the day afterwards because the soreness had hid 45 minutes to the jump rope, on a hot Iraqi night My Soldiers looked on in disbelief, at the unbelievable sight I was in the zone, with my Ipod on Not missing a beat, jumping rope until my water was gone Alas the time was well spent, and my lungs were refreshed My heart got a jump start, and my legs got no rest Today I am sore, but in a good kind of way I like my jump rope and will use it another day

Ok so I’ve started getting back into the gym this morning. I’m normally not a morning workout person, but here I have to make an exception due to the fact that my evenings run late sometimes. So I said I’d start lifting today…and instead of doing day 1 i started with day 7 bi’s and ti’s. I just wanted to get the muscle memory back and bi’s and tri’s is always the best way to start. It was cool..not too many people (just 3 of us) in our hand-me-down gym….lol…all of our equipment is either so old it’s dangerous (one bench - you just stay away from), or stuff people didn’t want/need (That’s the benefit of living on the forefront of the combat zone I guess). It’s cool though cause we started out with a treadmill, a bench, a bar, squat rack, and a sit up bench all in a hallway. Now we have like 20 pieces of mixmatch equipment in an actual room that you can use to get a pretty decent workout. So bi’s and tri’s - I did 3 set s of each workout, only 8-10 reps depending…not too high on the poundage…about at 90% of what I normally put out so that was good. The biggest thing for me now is to track what/when I’m eating to ensure I’m eating enough to actually have energy to work out. I know after awhile for some odd reason energy will create more energy…(that’s called being in ’shape’) but until you get there…you’ve gotta maximize the conditions for you body (by eating right) so you can have energy (to create energy, lol). Yeah so I have a little green book dedicated to reps and poundages…I guess I’ll even track meals in it too. I know I’ll eat better when I know I’ll be writing it down later. For the record..I like this site too. It kind of hold me accountable in a indirect way, because I have all this ambition to do stuff, but I don’t tell people….so you don’t really have to follow through and can push it off further and further…but if you put it out there (too the world basically) and everybody you know can track your progress…it’s kind of like having a workout partner (of which i don’t have - may get one later though) or like 70,000 or how ever many folks are on here. So good job on that Mr. Bodybuilding.com Company Owner and Internet Site Administrator. I appreciate it. So next workout will be squats. I probably won’t update this after every workout, but I’ll keep it posted at least weekly.
