One week away to Olympia Las Vegas 2009

September 17, 2009

Hey you owe to yourself to go to this event, if you haven’t. Get a group of buddies (not the wild ones, you don’t want to jail), get t-shirts and shorts in a bundle, booked the hotel or motel (believe me you will only use the room to shower and eat in because there’s too much to do in Vegas) and get to this event.

I have to say this though, don’t pack much, you will return with 4 big goody bags! One solution I have is go to USPS and get a prepaid box with me and ship everything to my home address. I don’t have time to deal with Airports rent a cops, so I suspect neither do you.

Secondly, the goal this year for me is to take as many pictures with as many folks as possible. Check it out, we (the consumers) buy the magazines, buy the supplements, buy the clothes and etc. So I’ve already invested in this industry and I’m going to take pics.

Three quickly unload the pics and video on the computer! Mistake I’ve made.

Have a great time in Las Vegas! There’s so much stuff to do there it’s amazing. You can walk into each hotels and see different things and you can ask for a tour and see the roos and think about where you want to go next!

 Here’s a site

http://www.vegasfreebie.com

http://www.vegas4locals.com/free.html

 Do the research.

Don’t spend all your money! Don’t buy I love vegas t-shirts and posters on the first day. You are going to Olympia you will have free t-shirts there for you!

Food is great in Vegas, so the cheaper the better!

Mind your manners and don’t be feeling up on the bodybuilders. take a pic and put your arm around them is okay, but touching on the bisceps and chest and calves. I don’t know what tell you but ask you this "Do you have health coverage?" Everyone has personal space respect. LOL! (you see I’m fair)

Walk with an ID,  not a wallet…

If anyone else have tips please share.

Olympia Las Vegas 2009!

August 25, 2009

Okay so I was a lazy azz! I did not post my Olympia trip on youtube and my computer was hit with a virus! I’m kicking myself!

So I know for sure that I will not only tape but make sure I upload the video as soon as I get home!

Also I’m going to take more pics and interview all the bodybuilders. And this is for all the pros out there–I’ve calculated all the magazines I buy monthly, also add all the supplements you’ve sugguested that I should take, all the red meats and chicken and veggies, and store bought gallons of water…. Saying all this, when your fans come up to you and ask to take picture, stop being a jerk and smile.

Now the women were great! And they knew more about supplementation then boys and they also educated folks. "No I’m not a bodybuilder, I’m a figure model. Here’s the difference"

The guys however (not all guys) talk about Mean Girls part 2. How the hell do you have cliques? Grown men hundled together against another set of bodybuilders. You’re GROWN!

I held my peace for a year, I just had to say it before I go there and say it in Las Vegas.  You’re 5′6, 300 pounds of muscle, we don’t see that everyday, so look into the camera and say "cheese!"

Update

August 25, 2009

Less than a month I lost 20 pounds. I was 255, and went down to 235. After the semester I wasn’t able to workout like I had to. May–I had final exams and papers so worked out average 2 or 3 days a week, June and July alot to do a work and family so I’m looking at two workouts a week.

So in August I was done with it! I went back in was focus on it! (still is) And now I’m at 235. I’m still working out like crazy. Tomorrow would be my first working out twice workouts in one day.

Wish me luck.

Power of working out in two s

June 12, 2009

I’ve been testing otu a new theory. Lets see what happens when I break up my workouts into twice a day instead of doing it once a day.

The reason why I did it. Because I felt like I wasn’t reaching my goals and it’s like I flat line. Yeah I get a trainner do something new or meet someone they show me some new tricks.

However I broke it down to working out weights in the morning before work with 20 minute cardio and coming in at night and just do cardio for another 30 minutes. I was amazed at how much my body had respond to it.

The other thing I added on to my training were heavier weights with more reps. The highest I go were 20 reps, okay reps were 15 and if I was going to max out it was 12 reps. Sets where at 4, however this summer I’m moving the sets to 5 this month and then 6 next month.

A trainner, last year, had me on high reps but low weights. Yeah I lost weight, but the bodyshape didn’t look to me so I went back to lefting heavy and my  body and soul feel happier.

Alright I’ll post more pics at the end of month.

Black Clark Kent out!

GNC-best kept secret

June 12, 2009

I’ve gotten GNC Wheybolic  and I have to say hands down, it’s one of the best kept secret out there. I’ve added the weight in the right areas without it being added to stomach-protien belly!

It’s easy to mix in blender and it taste great. Yeah it can’t beat Muscle Milk in taste but who can! But it mix as easier, add in fruit, coffee, veggies and you are on your own your way.

But I have to say this one protien powder I’m using for next couple of months. Well until someone hooks me up to something else.

I’ve been gone for a minute

October 19, 2008

I’ve been gone for a minute. I twisted my ankle real bad.

So this what happened:
The day fter Memorial Day, I carried a month worth of laundry with 64 oz of liquid tide down the stairs of my apartment. I had miss two or three steps infront of me and BAM I’m on the floor.

Long story short I sprin my inner tendons. I had a cast for the first week, then wore a BOOT for 5 weeks and now I’m wearing an air cast.

Aircast is great because I can actually wear shoes! I will wearing that for a while until other wise.

I had to learn how to walk. Trust me, I was in alot of pain for 2 weeks. Best way I can describe it–each time I step down on my left foot, it felt like spikes just sprung out of my foot. 800mg of IB was my saving grace.

The lesson I learn from this… Always look where I’m going! And secondly, being humble.

I moved to a new city. So my best bud Gary came and got me took me a hospital (that’s other blog worthy entry), and I had other friends who came by helped me out. For the first week I was stuck in my apartment.

The amazing thing I got from that experience my expections from other friends who I thought would be able to help but didn’t–not even an offer.

No I’m not bitter, but it goes to show that even as adults you can have friends(you can actually depend on) and then you have "friends" (who look on paper but not so good in real life).

But you know what I’m still going to be me and still be a friend to everyone reguardless of this expierence — a month and a half is no joke!

So that’s it in nut shell.

Now I got to get myself back on track.

until next time

make your own CELL TECH

August 15, 2007

This is funny. someone emailed it to me, so for those folks who are buying cell tech save  your money. here’s the formula right here. click on the link

http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/creatine/muscletech-cell-tech-homemade.htm

if the link disappears here’s a copy and paste version of it:

Celltech is a mixture of 10g of creatine, 75g of carbs, 200mg of ALA and 250mg of Vitamin C.

It is not a bad blend, but it is not worth the money they charge you for it, and their advertising is highly deceptive and their products suspect.

Here is a receipe for home made CellTech thats cheap and easy to make.

You need the following:

1. Pure creatine monohydrate powder (unflavored) - I prefer micronized creatine which is available from various manufacturers. Look for the “Creapure” logo.

2. Pure dextrose or Gatorade powder (if you use pure dextrose you may want to add a teaspoon or half a teaspoon of Koolaid or lemonade mix to it to help the flavor)

3. ALA capsules or powder (powder is available from Beyond a Century but has a burning sensation when you swallow it, but is much cheaper)

4. Optional: Vitamin C tablets or pure powder (BAC carries this as well)

Directions:

Mix either 2-3 scoops of Gatorade powder, or enough servings of Dextrose for at least 30g of carbs (you really don’t need 75g unless you feel like you need to) with 10g of creatine powder. Add 1 level scoop of ALA powder, or enough for ~200mg. Add water (and optional flavoring). Also, add your Vitamin C powder or take your tablet before hand. Stir until the ALA and creatine dissolve fully and drink.

ALA, Creatine & Vitamin C powder is available from BAC.

They should also be available from your favorite supplement shops elsewhere.

It’s working

July 15, 2007

Okay so I’ve done it. I spent the month of June 2007 doing more reps and doing an hour of cardio.

The workouts are split, morning and afternoon. An hour each. I go from either 5 to 6 days a week.

I did take a week off last month for full recovery.

Check out the new photos.
