Free weights or machines?
I’m curious as to what the hardworking people of Bodyspace prefer to use, free weights, machines, or both pretty evenly?
I’ve seen seveal people who use nothing but machines and they’re pretty good size. On the flip side I’ve also seen very fit looking bodies hitting the free weights. I use a mix of both but tend to lean towards free weights. I think they feel better overall.
Just want to hear what you have to say!

i love barbells and dumbbells,the only machines i will use are hammer strength and thats only like once a month.

For all muscle groups but legs its dumbbells and hammer strength/ISO machines for me. -Jeff

I always start my workouts with the free weights and save machines for last. If I am tired, machines are better equiped to help me keep good form regardless of how I am feeling…safer too if you aren’t using a spotter.

Free weights - mainly dbs for me, only resort to machines/cables when I can’t figure out another way.
I’m not a db nazi, just like the balance kick it gives. Machines don’t do much for me re: imbalances and I’m wary of letting my stronger sides taking over.

I like to combine both .I usually start off with free weights n the use of machines..I really get alot more out of the use of free weights i love the feeling of me having the full control n not the machine i can isolate the muscles i want to focus on much better workout ..have a great one !!Bella

i use free weights right now because i dont have gym any more. i do like them best-but right under them are cable machine…you can do sooooo many things with cables!
