been working on 20 clean and honest pullups in a row… for about 3 months now.. turned out to be harder than i thought.. I started out at 185 and am now at 200 so the goal was tough..

but i kicked it today.. went in with my Trace Adkins.. SWING BATTER all queued up and I too the bar and ripped em off… The last 4 burned like it never had.. my back is hurting ooh soo good now abut I feel like a GENUINE STUD.

next goal is now to put on some LBM for the next 3 months..

PIPES and the inspiration from ERIC

Pushed it hard today and feeling great… Chest and shoulders… Pushed some good numbers and worked the muscles very very good.. I normally wear long sleaves this time of year when i workout.. but today I forgot my thermal top and worked out in my WHITE undershirt.. (ha what do you expect from a guy that wears black socks)… Ok so into my shoulders I start to notice that I’m pumping out some major league pipes in my chest and delts..  never in my life have I seen this..

Sorta cool. so i start pushing it hard and get a great pump.. excellent workout…. So i head back to the locker room and go to take a shower.. as I’m drying off I try to flex some and the pipes are there but not as impressive.. I put on my shirt and then start putting on my shoes.. In walks the older guy named Eric (older as I think he is about 75 or so).. Eric works out all the time and is in best shape of anyone I’ve ever seen at his age.. he has body fat that is in single digs and has incredible muscle tone….. So Eric takes off his shirt and bling.. the guy is sporting some lean muscle… I ask him to flex and BLING that is when i see his PACEMAKER..  Holy smokes… I’m getting pumped for seeing my pipes and ol Eric has a pace maker showing through his skin… NOW that is impressive.. not the pace maker but the fact that he hits it hard at the gym, and watches his diet with that thing sporting……

I’m motivated now… Can’t wait to get in and hit it hard again to see my pipes… well this is a weird entry but i had to share it..

one more for motivation…

i’ve been motivated to get in shape for past 2 years… largely driven by the desire to change my life and rebound from loss of a loved one and then kicked in the seat by kids telling me to get in shape or i was going to die.. well if that is not reason to get it in gear.. i don’t know what is..

well after time I found new thread to my motivation.. one such was that i started to loook and tell i was feeling a ton better.. then a few weeks ago .. kahh boom i go about and started chatting with a woman that has certainly caught my eye..  just what i needed was more motivation but hey it is reall and I’m very much feeling positive about this energy…

focused and going to hit them weights hard now… peace to you and beso in bb.land.. from black_sock himself :)

Good day today, I was able to manage the time so I was able to get by the gym for an hour before it closed and all the traditional stuff with the holidays kicked into full gear..  Back todays.. ahh I love doing back.Pullups of 19,17,15,10.. Then to Bent Over Rows 12,12,10,8 at 135, Then cable rows with close grip pronated grip.. really maxed out the reps.. I did pain plus more.. What a blast and pump it was.. Then onto Triceps.. I’ve been switching it up doing this for last 3 weeks.. used do to biceps and will probably get back into that routine.. anyways Skull crushers, then close grip press (reverse grip) and then push downs… pain plus onthe pushdowns..

I’m in the mood to workout and it is starting to feel great…

Ok so I’m not getting married… But i was asked a question today that was for me was a little flattering.. Some actually asked me if i was a body builder or lift weight much…..  I confidently replied "I do and I am".. I’ve been waiting for some time to have that question posed and it felt really good.  I’m not someone that walks around in muscle shirts or flexing in mirrors everytime i walk by.. I’m just the average Joe that has made the decision to turn physical conditioning around and try to be best that I can be……

So my question to you are you a body builder?

19 perfect form

yeah folks, not much to say other that i pulled off 19 of the most perfect form pullups tonight… it was so freaking cool that i almost has to go and change my socks in the middle of the workout.. no joke..

stay tuned for the next update.. I’m for sure going to hit my feb goal and thinking i might just make 30.. now that would be worthy of some BIG cha ching .. yah hear

IT makes sense..

finally after so many days, weeks and now years the advice i’ve been receiving from so many smart and great folks is paying off… yeah i’m long way from winning any comps but each day for me is like scoring in the "O" as I get what i put into it..

Three concepts that i’m starting to learn..

1 - You bust it up at the GYM but you GROW by RESTING

2 - Eating balanced meals with proper macros and P/F/C breakdown is a MUST if you want results.. Working out and RESTING is not going to work unless you eat RIGHT

3 - Working MUSCLE is more important that slinging the big IRON. This does not mean doing the wimpy weights, but it does mean using GOOD form and sacrificing a little ego in order to get the muscle fibers working…

I’m am so far from an expert, but I’m feeling like i’m now out of the noobie stage and love life for what i’m getting out of my training.

PUMP it UP

yeah.. good workout today. Upper Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.  Diet is a little heavy but i’m way way full of energy when i hit the gym. Continue to put on size. I’m really hoping some is muscle it is a little hard to tell. this really is my first bulk ever but  man oh man do those pumps feel great. Like today my chest just got big.. My shoulders and triceps swelled up and the vascular thing kicked in as well.. I was feeling great today and pushed it hard, tried to not waste any effort and really stayed focused on making my reps count. i’m loving it and feel really really good.

Downside is that i’m putting on some fat.. I’m stacking some on the obigues and lower abs… I’m not overly concerned as i can drop weigth fairly quick and i’m not going to freak about the fat but it is hard because i was a fat ass a few years back and it is more mental to understand and trust the body to grow..  My overall waiste size is still at 34 which is good for me as i’m hoping to get that down to 32 and tight by End of Aug. 09.. for now it is the PUMP and getting some musle on this older body..

I also want to thank all those that have been providing me comments and works of encouragement.. Thanks you all are great.. and a special rep for all those on the OV35 forum. those peeps are some of the coolest I’ve ever chatted with.. wow how cool would it be to have 10 of those guys working out at the same gym as you..  I bet that would really a PUMP it up session..
