i’ve been motivated to get in shape for past 2 years… largely driven by the desire to change my life and rebound from loss of a loved one and then kicked in the seat by kids telling me to get in shape or i was going to die.. well if that is not reason to get it in gear.. i don’t know what is..
well after time I found new thread to my motivation.. one such was that i started to loook and tell i was feeling a ton better.. then a few weeks ago .. kahh boom i go about and started chatting with a woman that has certainly caught my eye.. just what i needed was more motivation but hey it is reall and I’m very much feeling positive about this energy…

yep today was one of those days…… Back on the weights after a week off to let the body recover. It was some of the good stuff.. wow that is rather odd to say… it is more like something i would have said 18 months ago when i walked into one of the many bars that i frequented.. The bartender would say what can i get you joe.. and I’d say some of the good stuff… Well today I got some of the good stuff on the weight pile.. Yep after getting some great advice from folks on the over 35 forum i posted up and focused on my chest, tri and shoulders today. I performed some of the best reps that I’ve done this year.. each rep was squeze, press, touch, squeze….. yeah (no funny replies about sex stuff..) I’m talking great reps tonight… stuff that make you hurt ooh so good, ones that make the muscle just shake and rip… oh yeah!!!
I’m officially an addict of this body building… I know it is better than where i was two or three years ago.. heck I’ve said it once I’ll say it again. this stuff saved my life.. and tonight was great as i had some of the good stuff… I hope you get some of the good stuff on your next workout…

ok great workout today i’m on a roll… my diet is on, my focus is together and i’m patient knowing this stuff takes time.. so there it is..
well now that i got my workout tuned in.. ah I gotta get a grip on what i did to my kids.. lord help the little ones.. Well you see I’m a push over when it comes to discipline (heck i can’t even spell it)..so I think to myself this timeout this stinks you know it is not working so i say to my kids.. (5,6,12,13).. hey if you get out of line you are going to give me 10 solid pushups.. you know i’m thinking this will work you know. …. well crap it turns out they live to workout more than i Do and I’m a NUT about it.. just a NUT… so i’ve created little MONSTERS.. they run around the house doing stuff that they know they will get 10 pushups for …. oh… parents do not, i repeat do not do like me….. I mean heck my 6 year old now has better form that I do and he is getting ripped.. the two older ones if they ever stayed around would no doubt be rocks themselves but anyone with teens and pre-teens knows what i’m spewing about…
well folks that is my advice.. wish is was more focused on how to get buff but hey i share what i got to give.. peace to you in BB land.. and get it on the weights or give me 10 pushups now.. oh man oh man…. i gotta got eat something I think i’m low protein .

yep that is the sound my body makes as it goes super SONIC into muscle making mode.. The cut is over and I’m busting ass (i can say that here right).. on the weight pile. Today I started off with back, I’m looking to gain some mass over the next 4 months and BACK is an area that I know will grow for me.. that legs and off course shoulders, arms .. and oh yeah the GUT that is going to grow but I’m going to keep working my cardio and doing all the 5 solid abs exercises I go..
Man I can’t wait to get back to pushing some IRON, nothing like hitting new PR.. and I feel some new numbers on the horizon. I’m pushing the big 45 and darn it I want to get my body roaring again.. well not again but for the first time…
so if you hear a KAH-BOOM then you can think of black_socks .. NOW GET YOUR MONEY bb land.. peace to each of you .

darn it i came down with this nasty stomach bug… taking pink stuff trying to bounce back. What a bummer i was feeling great on Monday when I did my workout… Can’t figure out how I got this thing but don’t wish it on my worst of enemies (not that i have any of those…). or heck i’d not even wish it on some of those white sock, white shorts and white shirt wearing folks in the gym… lol.. ok i’lll bounce back … man I gotta go lookup how many carbs are that stuff. oh sheet i home there is not extra sugar… now this is sick isn’t it.. lol
get your MONEY people. black socks will be back after a few days of RR and pink stuff.

well bbers I got my money today in the gym. Love BACK days.. Especially the last few weeks since i picked up some tips from a few of you one the site.. (SteveP78 for the negatives on the cable rows… and the thumbless bicep bb exercises). and comments from GFORCE35 on using proper weight matchups with variations on reps.. I’m starting to feel it now.
The cut continues (or at least i call it a cut)… I’m down in BF% by 4% over a 10 week period. IT is really odd because my weight fluctuates about 3 pounds but the key measurement of my waist size is shrinking and that is very very key to my focus now… I still have some fat around the lower back and the obligues but I’m working on refining the poritions that I eat.. I still think that my body is storing fat because it does not get consistent caloric intake.. I’m learning in all this and my motivatios is SKY high still..
I purchased some new BLACK workout socks this week, they are short versions that don’t standout so bad… One of the gym employees actually came by and complimented me on my decision to buy some exercise clothes.. HA.. if that person ONLY knew how much working out i did in the old socks… which leads me to the real question.. does a fancy set of clothes that are sold as workout outfit and never gets used considered real workout clothes.. as opposed to my old black socks… hum i guess I know that answer… Ok enough of the ramble.. I hope everyone get’s their MONEY this week on the weight pile and that they get PAID with some muslce, loss of fat, or whatever you are looking for in the gym…

Well hit the 44 year old milestone today. Feeling better than I have in many a years. Only been on this weight lifting for about 10 months now and two years prior was doing a ton of exercise to drop weight.. Well this post is not all about me being I’ve made it this far I wanted to post some thanks..
- I’m thankful for all the advice received so far, you know who you are so give yourself a double thumbs up..
- I’m thankful for all you hot ladies that are just smokin… Thanks for posting pictures of yourself..
- I’m thankful for all the bros posting their mass and cuts as it gives me hope that I too one day will have a bulking and cut body (big ha)
- I’m thankful for the training articles and the links to the tri-phase routines
- I’m thankful for the 10% discount coupon i received today (Heck yeah)
- I’m thankful for the tips on how to lift
- I’m thankful for the encouragement
- and Last but not least I’m thankful for my NEW CAMERA!! Yeah baby! I can finally post something other than my black_socks pictures

Well, I’ve been working out for 6 months now and have had some really good results in weight loss. I’ve dropped from 250 to 193 as of this am. My short term goal is to cut down another 15 pounds, and continue to build a good cardio, fitness base. I’ve had a short term goal of really focus on my conditioning and learning how to properly lift weights… I’m not old (43) but certainly not a youngster anymore so I’m really working on making sure that I have proper form, that I can work the targeted muscles and that I don’t waste my energy while working out.
I have really enjoyed reading some of the training articles, especially Charles Glass pointers. I like to work my shoulders, back, check and abs. I’m not much on leg workouts but know that once I cut down more that I need to do that, until then I’m going to keep on my program and see how the next 2 months go…

I chose this because like so many of you that picked a screen name to describe yourself favorite body part, your special attributes, or genetic talents. I chose this because I’m absolutely convinced that if I don’t wear my special BLACK SOCKS that I just don’t have that extra energy. Sort of like not taking that superpump250 for some of you… Anyway so there it is… the
So now that I’ve got the workout attire all straight, and that my attitude is finely tuned.. I’ll be looking to post up some pics of my 43 year old body, update my profile stats and start that journey to a healthy me. peace to all you folks in BB land!
