I’m into week 3 of my cut and know that I’ll make it with results.. To be sure I’m putting my bi-weekly haircuts on hold until i get my BF down to a single diget! yep that means old joe might be sporting some long hair here…. haha. No risk of looking like a hippie I think the hair on my legs is longer than that on my head….ok def too much info.. yep. Well just thought of this and wanted to post it on my blog so it is like written in stone for me to keep to. Peace to all you others in BB land..

first week of cut..

wow, it has been tougher that i thought,.. but the upside of this is that I’m through my first week and really feeing good when I go to the gym.

I’ve dropped 5 lbs this week and can tell some of it is fat, some of it was the water bloat from the carbs. I’m set for this cut cycle as it will give me a real look into what progress i’ve made. I’m not jumping into a comp yet but I train like I am.. so to some degree I guess I am competing with myself.. I have a goal in mind and this is a checkpoint in results on my efforts.  My diet is clean and I’m not having any problems with the discipline (sp?) to get through this…. call me wack but i’m soft of into eating green beans with first thing in the am with my egg whites.

I’ve got some plans to keep the muscle on the bod and firt it up.. heck i might even get enough kapputz to put some pics on this site…. ahha well maybe

rook cut experienc

ok, first time to do a cut.. i’m 10 day’s into this and have gone through the headaches.. weight loss, and strenght loss.

today i started to feel better, and had a great pump on the pile. I’m following the volume4knockout by team scivation. I feel like the Lean Mass diet was good, however it took me some time to get to know my body and during 2 cycles of 12 weeks I put on mass and dropped some body fat. It is hard to tell how much muscle i have so I’m doing this cut. I plan to cut for 12 weeks and then evaluate results. If good I’ll stretch it another 4 weeks and ink out final cut. if not then I’ll start back in with some of the triphase programs.  here was my routines for tonight

Chest / Tri

1 - Incline BB (155×18,175×15,185×12,155×15,135×12)

2 - Decline DB (75×15,70×18,65×20.PR)

3 - Hammer Peck Deck (2plates-3×20)

4 - Close Grip BP (135×18,155×15,165×12)

5 - Body Weight Dips (3xfailure..in the 15-18 range)

6 - Bench Dips with 45 plate (3xfailure.. not a clue but it hurt..)

40 mins of low intesity cardio on the 3.5% treadmill.. watchin all the other meatheads and such drenched in sweet…  sipping my extend

sups: BCAA,GLUTAMIN,MULTI,EFA,FishOil,CLA,Sesamin.

food: chicken, spinach, almonds butter, tuna … all day long… and I loved it .. yeah !!!

cals: aprox 2500 with 60/20/20 mix and 350g protein.

Rest weeks are killer

ok, i’m day 4 into my week of rest (been going at it for 3 months with a 4 day split).. and i’m finding it increasingly hard to stay off the weight pile.. Ive done some light cardio to keep the engine running and work on much needed arobic fitness.  I’ve also taken this time to shop for some new socks…. and a camera to finally post some pics.. I’m a tight wad so the socks purchase might work if i find a sale.. and the camera is well… i’ve been going to buy a camera for past 2 years.. good thing I’m compulsive about my workouts .. ha.. well Tchau!

bring back the tuning fork..

yep, i made some adjustments to the diet and really started to get into a grove.. used the diet for 12 weeks and made good gains… Then i made an adjustment to my schedule, I started doing cardio in the AM for 20 minutes.. I wanted to kick in the appetite as i was having a hard time putting down my afternoon meals and i wanted to slowly keep increasing my calories as i was putting on mass and not too much fat.. well it all worked fine for about 2 weeks and tonight the wheels started to come off..

I find that by working out the AM i do get a stronger afternoon appetite but I need to have more carbs in my system throughout the day. I’m not sure why this is but I get such a low level of energy by 6PM for my workout. I also found that I need to eat a good solid meal about 90-70 minutes before i workout or I don’t have squat for energy… I’m using vasocharge and i get a good kick out of that but I don’t like to take too much as it does impact my ability to go to sleep at 11..

so any input on my need for increasing my carbs and if I also need to increase my fat at the same time. i don’t want to get an insulline spike..
