back at it..

yep took a week off after my last 12 week tri-phase journey. It almost KILLED me to stay away from the weights and I go in and do some light cardio for 3 days.. That was cool as I met some folks at the gym that never make their way over to the weight pile… some very nice looking people and great folks to chat with.. Yeah I’d have to say that the cardio area in the gym is a pile of stinky people. now I do throw off my share of water when i workout but D A R N IT .. those cardio hounds just dump it like it is raining… Some of them had water bottles but those that did not were still just sloshing around themselves… ok so back on track now..

I’m doing a 9 week tri-phase journey this time, focus on the back and biceps routines.. have the diet kicked back in and still on a fine tuning process there. I do like the theory behind it (diet) it took me a few months to figure out all that tech talk and that is odd because i’m a geeek for sure for sure.. I mean hey i wear black socks ..enough said on that.

I enter this phase at 203lbs, and have gained about 8lbs of lbm in the past 8 months, i don’t expect to continue with those results trendline but that would be like great if it kept up. I’m focused on keeping the body fat dropping and at some point I know the trendine will change.. Until then I’m a mad man on the weight pile.. thanks to all for your advice and power to you.. astah!

Ahh at end of second phase…

Wow was it a good one today, i know i pushed hard because deep down i knew it was last of the heavy and then three days and then onto 4 weeks of total body…. Wow! my strenght really went up this cycle.. Amazing because i dropped my creatin intake to 5 a day was at 10g prev. Started taking these BCAA’s (extend) and really helped my recovery.. Eating great and focused on intestity last 4 weeks.. my joints were starting to feel it a little at end of today so I think this 4 week cycle is about all i could take.. I’d like to thanks those marc l and derick for posting the tri-phase program it is good, even for a 40something just starting out…

i’m off for next 3 days to play with the four kids up in NOVA.. Going to eat what i want and kick back at the pool all day… who knows I might just flex a new muscle or two (ha)…

Good day on the weight pile.. Hit the upper body B routine today. Really had a good day on shoulders, hit a new PR on the military and I’m really feeling good about the form, have focused on keeping the elbows pointing our more and the weight more in front of me and it isolates the front delts and the upper delts.. can’t wait to get to the total body next week as these loads are really hitting me hard…. starting to sleep hard and night and feel a little on the tired side… going to take 3 days break before i start in on the last 4 week cycle or the tri-phase.

 

Week 8 of TRI-Phase… great balls of FIRE

Heck yeah, into week 8 and I’m on FIRE.. Energy is through the roof, and I’m hitting weights that I never thougt I would at this time… My body was feeling it a little so I took a 3 day break and did my monday workout Upper A today.. Was good because I didn’t get much sleep on Sunday PM.. Finding out that that SLEEP is important stuff.

Diet wise I’m starting to measure things out.. My friends think I’m a nut job by carring in my digital scales to work to weigh out my CHICKEN but hey … when the plan says 6 of the cluckcluck I’m not going to do like 5 and 1/2 you know.. I don’t cut my reps short so I’m not going to cut my food S H O R T…

Ok i was looking at some of the team scivation journals and I gotta step it up on the next go round.. for sure for sure.. until next post.. S M O K I N.. is the WERD because I’m on F I R E ….ha
