I own those 100lbs dbs

Monday, May 26th, 2008

yeah, week three of the second phase of the tri-phase and I’m doing good. I owned the 100lbs dbs today doing 3 sets of 6 on the flat bench. Next week I go up to the 110 as they don’t have 105s at my gym.. easy money (ha)..  I’ve kicked up my sups some, now taking 8 scoops of extend throughout the day, with 5 of those during workout, I’m doing 2 scoops of Vasocharge, doing the muliti-vit, taking my fish oil, cla, and the sesamine.. Cut back on my whey and started eating Lean Meats (chicken, fish)..

Uppped my complex carbs in the late AM meal (11AM)  from 1 cup of rice to 1 and a half, having much more energy to push myself.

Only issues I’m fighting is that I find myself blowing chow sometimes right before I workout, I don’t a clue it really is not more than 1/4 of  cup but it sort of sucks… Anyway my settles down right after that and then I get my money..  I’m going for it this week, started off great.

Anyone ever have this problem?

400 CLUB on the DEAD lift

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

yep, hit my number today 405 for 3 good solid reps…. Man I was jacked, just freaking JACKED.. To think that this time last year I was squeezing out 135 and getting the spins doing that… I’ve gotta get it for 5 reps for 2 weeks before I move up again.. As BIG RON says "light weight,.." heck yeah!…

I know I’ll sleep good tonight I’m freaking fried after my workout today, but life is truely GREAT, lifting and building the body is a gift that I’ll never overlook again.

Week 6 of TriPhase

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Man I’m loving this program….

I had such a postive workout today.  I’m 6 weeks into using the TriPhase workout and 8 weeks into my the LBM diet (on scivation.com).. First off I was sceptical I thought that Mark and Derick were just trying to hock some of their supps.. But the more I read the more I understood that they were straight up good, guys just sharing some info. yeah they have a company that needs to make a profit but it seems the understand long term success is key,.. Providing good quality information is part of their company as well..

Anyway back to my progress. I don’t want to sound like some commercial for those cats….But the program, and their advice is solid stuff… OK so here is the deal.  I’ve been working out for about 8 months with some limited success.. Main focus was to get my lard ass moving and drop some weight. I did things like jump rope, and the usual treadmill… After a while I started with slinging some weights around without any real ideal what the heck was going on.. I read some articles and tried to apply them.. Not a ton of results but heck the downward slide in health stopped and I stated to get in shape..

Well With this program I’m starting to see progress. I understand nothing is overnight and like scivation I’m in this for the long haul.. I’m using the Tri-Phase routine and can comment right now that it is a good soution.. So what is it well the first 4 weeks are volume.. For me I chose to do a 4 day split hitting two body parts each day, reps in the 10-12 range with weekly sets increasing from 3 to 6 by the end of 4th week. Rest was about 90 seconds between sets, limited workout to no more than 50 minutes on the pile, and normally did 15 minutes of cardio to start and 15 to cool down, with HR in a 65% of max zone so it was light cardio but good..

Ok, Now I’m into the second phase which is another 4 week period.. with focus on INTENSITY I’m into week 2 of 4 and I’m just getting hammered.. The progam switches from a 2 body part split to a upper/lower spit and the exercises are cycles for push then pul.. Or at least that is how I’m setup now… My PR at almost all my exercises are going through the roof. My energy in workouts is focused and I can see the end goal in sight…  This program makes alot of sense.  After this period the program calls for 4 weeks of a routine that hits most of the body part each day… Then taking 1 week off…

Anway I’ve been taking the supps that they recommend (extend, vasocharge, CLA, Sesamine).. eating 3000 calories and I’m actually dropping weight and getting stronger. I can tell that I’m starting to tone up some as well.. I’m going to pop for a camera this weekend so I can start posting some pics…

Anyone else had any experience with program?  I’m going to keep post going on this one…

time fer it…

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember — spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, ‘I love you’ to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
