Its been 2 wk with out any pastry. U know doughnuts cookies cake ect. It hasnt been that hard so far. I think it was mmore of a habbit anything. I dropped 3 pounds in that time, nothing unuseual there. I would have thought it might be more since i cut a lot of cal. fat & surgar from my diet. Not trying to lose wieght just fat. I lost my support member, she got very busy. Some help to continue this would help. I just know i need someone to be accountable to. Well this is good news for me so i just wanted to put it out there. Bob

I noticed that most people dont seem to use a ffull range of motion. Now im not sure what is right or wrong. If there is a R or W. I have always use a full range. I dont lift to heavy never have. But when i do go heavy i cant use a full range. For instance, when i do bb shoulder presses. With the lighter #s i touch the bar to my chest, when i go heavy i only go to my chin. Now is that cheating ourself or what. U just cant go as heavy with a full range of motion. Like to hear what people think. Thxs. Bob

A new milestone for me. Benched 255# for 2 reps. Thats the best ive done in a long time. 285 when i was 20. Did 135×15 155×12 185×10 205×6 225×4 245×2 then 255×2. Felt like i could have got 3 but i had no spotter. I havent been working out as much as i was 6mo ago. But i feel stronger. I guess my body needed me to slow down a bit. Anyway i feel good about this. Im going to see if i can get to 275# by the end of the yr.

Ran a 5k this morning. Man these things r tough. About 80 degrees at race time. Ran better 1st & 2nd mile times. 7min & 15min resp. My right started to cramp at about the 2.25 mark, and i thought oh no please dont. It didnt & i finished with a 24:25, .36 slower than my first. The over all winner was a 18:35. The winner in my age group 51-55, did a sub 20:25. 4min. faster. The guy in the 61-69 ran a sub 22. the field at this race was much bigger ( 100 plus ) and much faster. Its a lot of fun & i enjoy the challenge. Some one was telling me about 1mile races might check that out. My legs r really sore too. Not going to do much the rest of the day. Enjoy your day. Bob

Ran my 1st 5k race Sunday. It was a lot harder than i expected. Everybody ran out of the gate really fast. Tryed to keep up, but got winded. Had to slow down some & catch my breath. Started to get my stride just before the 1 mile mark, & past the 1st person. Past 5 more people before the finish. Ran a 23:54. Got 2nd in my age group. 50-54 yrs old. Had a great time, hope to do more. Maybe some time next yr. i can move up to a 10k.
