hitting the gym, but not seeing a difference on the scale.

so i have been hitting the gym hard, but haven’t seen the difference on the scale. i noticed that i am been getting more defined. also have been getting compliments from tons of people. but still frustated none the less. there are still things that i can tweak to jumpstart the loss. i know that i need to be doing more cardio, but i know that i am like a lot of people on here and i don’t like doing it. also have to watch the diet a little better. so is anybody else in the same boat as me, i know that it would probably help me to hear that. so i know that i am not alone.

  1. Captain Ahab Says:

    Are your clothes fitting differently?
I ask this because my wife used to obsess over the scale not moving but her clothes were getting looser all the time and she went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 long before the scale showed much difference.
As you lift your body “shape-shifts” and gains muscle here and loses fat there and overall you look like a different person, (hence your compliments).
Do not rely on the scale. If I had my way I would throw scales out and just do body measurements to show how workouts and diets are working.
