man nothing sucks more than being forced to change your whole routine. not only have i had to switch from am to late pm lifts, which have also thrown off the timing of my diet, but ive also had to change gyms. yeah changes can be good, but when you are in the middle of a bulk that was working it sucks to have to take time to readjust. i guess i just have to be flexible and adjust, using what i know to make this new routine work.

back from the trip, and i definately lost some weight (down to 191 from 198). unfortunately i only got a couple meals a day and very little sleep which obviously worked against me. i took some protein samples to help with the diet but didn’t have enough and ran out. Luckily it looks like a lot of this weight was fat as my bf has definately dropped a couple percents, but i likely also lost some muscle as my strength dropped. working on getting strength back this next week or two and then going insane on clean bulk. really going to go after it, so i pass my 200 goal by early December (can’t wait).

the last couple weeks ive been really pushing myself at the gym and focussing effort on my diet and as a result have really put on a good amount of weight in a short period along with an increase in strength. sadly though a fair amount is likely water weight and fat. this last week alone i gained 3 lbs. im so close to my 200 mark but don’t want to get there with fat alone. prob back off the cals a little to reduce weight gain to .5 kilos a week. have to take a 1-2 week break where ill be working hard with reduced cals. taking some protein with me but meals are pretty much set otherwise. so hopefully i can turn this break from the gym into a mini cut before starting on my mstack and continue with this bulk, which both should help me to easily break 200.

Had a great lift today! Did chest/tris/abs and felt totally pumped. Just one of those days where you know you hit everything just right. I finally got back for the most part to the strength and size i left off at before my break, so i am stoked to be at the point where i can pack some more on. Back on white flood and creatine, man did i miss this stuff. Also got some good advice on lat development so hope with tweaking my lat day a little ill see some better gains. Heck im still sore from my lat day on friday, which never happens.

Today is the first day of my second 2009 bulk and i plan on breaking through my 200 lb goal by December (was my goal for july but had too much going on the last several months and have just been maintaining). The last couple weeks i took a break from the gym and got sloppy with my diet. these weeks were pretty much my yearly lifting break, to just chill and have fun as i knew once i started my bulk, i was going to go big and should rest up and have some fun before i got serious. expectantly, i did lose some strength and size, but should easily get it back in a couple weeks. I’ll be posting my progress occassionally on this blog during my bulk. Still sticking somewhat to my old lifting schedule listed somewhere on here but am finally starting to add in front squats to my leg routine to get my legs to grow. I am also trying out animal stak-m for the first time, so it will be interesting to see how that helps out. I’m pretty much going for overall mass, but lats, quads and delts are once again the main targets for this bulk.

well for the last couple weeks ive been bouncing around 190, which is frustrating as i am supposed to be bulking. guess im going to have to increase my cals some more. good news is that my strength has still increased even while my weight has remained the same. trying to switch things up at the moment going from a high rep with lower weight to a low rep high weight regime. even though i still need to be careful with my lower back (as its not 100%) it is handeling a lot more so hopefully returning to bigger weights won’t cause it to flare back up.

finally broke 190 today, ive been going after this for sooo long, but because of all my "forced" breaks i never was able to reach it. Been really targeting my lats, legs and delts and probably noticed the most growth in these areas, though they all still need some more size. Stupid chest doesn’t seem to be growing much again, so I may need to change things up there. All in all I’m pretty stoked (even with a little back pain, keeping me from going full steam).

well i went to the chiro today and he said it didn’t look bad. said there isnt enough movement between to parts in lmy lower back which is causing irritation and pain but thought i should be without pain in a week or two. im still pissed that i won’t be able to have a descent lift for a month, and really pissed that i can’t do the major lift for back and legs for awhile, but good news is that pull-up and pull downs are ok so i can still work on my lats (maybe even concentrate more on them then i would have). either way glad to hear it wasn’t more serious.

well i knew this was too good to last. well after having good progress in the gym, i freakin tweaked my lower back about a week ago. then as it was feeling better today, i thought i would go and do a little lat work but as i went to pick up a db after my last set of my last excercise, wouldn’t you know, bang i reinjured it. don’t think its anything as serious as a disc prob. but man right now it hurts. got some ice on it and am taking some pills and guess ill be out of the gym for the next week to be safe. im just so pissed seeing how i was 1.5 lbs from my goal and then this happens. Hopefully I won’t loose much if any weight but guess we’ll see. Taking a break is good in the long run, but man this really sucks!!!

well so far i’ve been able to get about 1lb/week, so i am pretty stoked. ive been going fairly hard at the gym and my body finally told me to take things slow, so this last week i only lifted three days (instead of four to five) and went pretty light. didn’t think i would get my weekly lb but weighed in today and am happy to report, i did. so close to my 190 goal, just about 1.5 lbs more to go. although i am gaining some size, i don’t think 190 is going to cut it and and am definately shooting more for 195-200 before my april cut.
