Late July…
Well this site goes in streaks for me I guess… I will keep up for a while then take a hiatus. Fortunately, I don’t take too much of a hiatus from lifting. I don’t lift as often as I used to, but that’s due to a wife and 3 kids. I am not complaining… believe me I feel blessed to have them in my life. Weighed myself yesterday and I was surprised to only be about 4 lbs over my lowest, it sure doesn’t look it, but then again I’m probably more critical of myself. My diet has suffered too, but cooking for 5 is harder than for 1 or 2. I still keep it pretty clean, and I’m not complaining only trying to justify being completely lazy when it comes to my nutrition, at least more often than I used to.
I got laid off back around Memorial Day, and it sucks. I would think I’d use my time more wisely and workout a helluva lot more, but my shoulder has been bothering me and I’m just feeling a little old lately. Still getting good workouts in though and that is what is keeping my head straight. Not much out there on the job front, so I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but waiting it out sucks and I suppose I’ll just have to create a job for myself. Working on that… details to come.
My treadmill is broken, so cardio becomes an outside chore and not something I get to do as often as I should… if you look very deeply in my eyes, you might see some concern. so I keep it fresh and go around the neighborhood or walk down to the ballfield and run some sprints.
Had a pretty good last 4 days as my lats, biceps, triceps, abs, and chest are sore. I think I’ve geared up my intensity a little to overcome not having my treadmill. I suppose one day when I am able to, I will purchase some other form of cardio torture… hmmm, wonder what it will be…

Glad you are still keeping fitness a priority in your life in spite of all the changes!
