No sense…

Ok, I never really check my calories or macros too much, but today was weird.  Of course this is all based upon generic formulas from the web, but it makes no sense.  I am supposedly burning 3800 cals a day on workout days.  I am taking in 2300 calories.  That seems to be a big difference.  I should be losing weight like crazy, but I’m pretty steady.  So I can only assume that my calories burned is less than 3800.  It would be around 2500 to account for the rate of fat loss.  Anybody really know if that looks way out of whack?

Sounds like your calorie defficiency is too high. Your body is expending so many calories versus what its being given to run on that it probably thinks that its starving and trying to hold onto more fuel by slowing down other metabolic functions. Macros will have a lot to do with things, too, and determine where your body is pulling its energy fuel from. What’s your base metabolic rate and how are you coming to the 3800 burned on workout days? This article may help, too, as I’ve found it to be the most accurate one on bb.com so far for energy and macros: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/leah1.htm
