Friday, July 27th, 2007Today I started an 8 week program aimed to make me stronger. In April I hurt my neck and suffered 5 bulging discs and lost feeling in my right arm for about 2 months. Durning that time I could not train my upper body and my lower body was limited to light leg extension, very light leg curls, and light calf raises. I did get to the gym about 4 days a week to ride the bike but I became very discouraged by not being able to lift weights. Up until about 6 weeks ago I could not even curl a 10 pound dumbbell because of the injury. Now I feel more confident to give 100% in the gym so this my first week and I hope to get a picture up soon.
Day 1 7/30/07
Back and Bi’s
10 min. warm up Tredmill
Shoulder width lat pulls (2 x 15 wu; 3 x 8-12 increase weight but still warming up the back)
Deadlifts direct more towards stiff legged (1 x 10 wu; 3 x 4-8 weight increase each set)
1 arm machine seated rows ( 3 x 8-12 weight increase each set)
EZ bar curls ( 1 x 10 wu; 3 x 4-8 weight increase each set)
Dumbbell curls alternate (3 x 8-12 weight increase each set)
20 minutes of stair climber.
Felt good after workout, back and bi’s are two of my weaker parts, which is why I train them first.
