Getting Back To It.

so for most of june and july i just kinda stopped dieting and slacked on going to the gym. l’ve been maitaining my weight @ about 235-236 and last week started recording my weight again and gettin back to the keto style diet. off the bat i dropped about 2lbs. i was stoked. i switched fro no explode to superpump cuz no was messin with my stomache too much and started on the muscle cuz i had a good coupon for it and it was too good to let it expire. the superpump has a weird taste and the mm has a weird after taste but i’m happy with both. i wish the mm didn’t 300 calories per serving but i’m just using half a serving. right now my goal is still to hit 220lbs. with about 10lbs to go i’m hopping it won’t take too long.

In need of some guidance!

lately i’ve been loosing motivation cuz i’m not seeing results anymore. at first i saw the results on the scale, i dropped like 17lbs in a month n a half then noticed i was stronger cuz heavy weights didn’t seem so heavy anymore. but lately i haven’t seen much of anything. i’m debating if i should concentrate on losing the excess weight first then hitting the weights hard and gaining muscle, cuz i’d really like to be slimmer but buff. would it be best if i just went insane w/the cardio for 8weeks to lose the fat, then add the lifting to gain the mass? would that be easiest to achieve my goal? i usually do cardio after doing weights, should i drink my post workout shake after i finish the weights or after my entire session???

is it normal that my chest gets sore EVERYTIME i work on it? i don’t really do heavier wieghts than my session before but it never fails. my chest will be sore as hell for the next 2 days and it makes me tired and almost feels like i’m gettn the flu or something? i thought that after awhile of lifting you shouldn’t be getting too sore anymore, just feel tightness. its the only muscle that gets like that. i could work other muscles all day and not get sore like i do when i work my chest! any theories or opinions?

ok so my goal is to pretty much lose my coat of fat! i usually do the eliptical for 20minutes minimum to 45minutes max, depending on how i feel. but i’m reading that too much cardio isn’t good cuz it starts to eat at ur muscles. i can’t get a straight answer anywhere so hopefully i can get one through bodybuilding.com. also when i do cardio i’m like an animal. i use high resistance and medium elevation. my heart rate usually gets to 150, i sweat like crazy and sometimes i get outta breath. whats a safe amount of cardio to do to lose fat and not muscle. i’m relying on fellow user of this site cuz you have done or are doing what i’m trying to do instead of me getting answers from ppl who think they know everything.

so all this week i’ve been weighing in around 237. my goal was to hit 235 by today so all this week i haven’t been hitting the weights as much but have done cardio everyday and went back to eating right all week. for me eating right is eggs, turkey patties, beef, and salads! when i jumped on the scale this morning i wasn’t expecting to be under 236. but when i looked down it said 234.6! i thought it was a mistake so i weighed myself 2 more times and the number wasn’t moving. i was shocked and had the biggest smile on my face. i haven’t been this light in 2 and a half years. now i’m about 15 pounds from my goal so i’m going to try to hit 230 by next frday.

Plateau???

its been a couple weeks since i wrote anything on here or posted any pics. i did get my weight down to my previous goal of 240 or under by 2 mondays ago. that monday i weighed in at 239, just under my goal of 240. this past monday i weighed in at 237. i actually hit 237 this past friday and i’m getting frustrated because it hasn’t moved since! i’m stuck at that 237-238 mark and its buggin me.  so far i’ve lost about 15-16 pounds. last week i think i took in more carbs than i did the previous weeks. i might have gotten a lil sloppy but not bad with my diet. my fat percentage has gone down 1.2%. i don’t know how much of a difference that really is but the closer to my goal of 20% the better.  i’m also thinking about changing my weigh in day from monday to friday because i usually take in my bulk of carbs on the weekend and to weigh myself in on mondays just isn’t making sense to me. i feel like i have to stop weight lifting all together and just concentrate on cardio to get the number on the scale down. but if i start to lose the muscle i have it would just bring me down. my goal for friday is to hit 235 or under. i’m going on a camping trip this weekend so i’m gonna post again on friday before i leave.

i was bad….

ok so my last post i said i was going to PA and would go to the gym while i was there. well that didn’t happen. i did take my dog to the dog park and on a long trail so it wasn’t a total loss. i didn’t eat that bad either, not good but not too bad! i definately had way too many beers, bright side is it was all light beer. didn’t matter though cuz when i weighed myself on sunday when i got home i upto 248. tuesday i hit the cardio machines hard and just did a complete upper body workout. i figured it could be mostly water weight, at leaste thats whats i kept telling myself. i didn’t go monday cuz i was just too tired from the weekend, i just slept! last monday i said i wanted to be down to 240lbs by today. as you can guess, that didn’t happen. i did get down to 242.6. its not what i wanted but it could’ve been worse with my naughyness! so i’m going to try to get to 240lbs or maybe even under that by this coming monday. i’ll keep my fingers crossed!

last time i posted i said my chest was a little sore, that little turned into REALLY sore! it took about 3 days to go away. i haven’t been doing as much cardio as i’d like cuz my legs just don’t have any energy by the time i finish weights. some days are better than others. today i was able to do 30minutes and i’m weighing in at 243.6, but not official until monday. i gotta be careful this weekend cuz i’m going to PA for the weekend and hope i don’t drink and/or eat too much! i’m still gonna hit the gym over there so hopfully it won’t affect me much. i’m still aiming for 240 by wednesday, so i maybe by monday i should be around 241-242(fingers crossed). i don’t know what to do about my legs being too tired for cardio. 1 minutes feels like 10! i feel like i need a pick me up for cardio after i do weights. any suggestions?

weigh in!

so today is 4th monday since i’ve started my diet. when i started i was weighing in at 253-254, this morning i weighed in at, drum roll….245.0! the last week or so i’ve been kicking up the cardio to 45minutes on top of doing my pyramid routine. sunday was chest day and today i’m feeling a little sore but its not bad. i’m just going to continue what i’ve been doing, low carbs and high protien. i’m trying not to eat past a certain time which is tough cuz i go to bed hungry and wake up starving! i think for my new goal i’m gonna try to hit 240 by next wednesday. wish me luck!

yesterday i didn’t go to the gym cuz i went for a lil hike that just beat me up! my thighs n ass are sore as hell! i also bought a scale yesterday cuz i’m tired of having to use the one at the gym. i ate more carbs yesterday than i normally would cuz the other day i noticed i was feeling fatigued n figured it was cuz of my lack of carbs in my diet. today i’m taking a break from working out. i think i need to rest a lil cuz my legs are like jello right now and my elbow hurts when i move it in cetain positions. tomorrow is a chest day(my favorite) so i’m gonna throw in an extra scoop n.o. explode and try to do 45min of cardio. maybe an hour of cardio cuz my new wieght will post monday.
