THERAPY

DID FIRST ARM CURLS IN 2 MONTHS YESTERDAY TO DO SOME THERAPY ON MY RIGHT ARM . FOREARM MUSCLE SHIFTED SIDEWAYS WHEN IT GOT A PUMP IN IT AND BICEP HAS GOT A SPLIT IN THE CENTER. WEIRD ?!?!?!?  BUT MINIMAL DIS COMFORT KEPT MAX WEIGHT TO 35 LB DUMBBELLS AND TRAINED TRICEPS WITH CABLES AND THAT FELT GOOD. 1 WAY OR THE OTHER OFFICIALLY ON THE ROAD TO A RECOVERY. NOW I JUST GOT 2 LOOSE SOME FAT!!

BUT ;WHAT IF I DON'T QUIT!?!?!?!?

2 MONTHS OF BEING MESSED UP,MAKE YOU WANT TO QUIT. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE AT THE TOP OF YOUR GAME AND HAVE A MAJOR BLOW OUT AND REALIZE IT HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING ! I ALMOST GAVE MY WEIGHTS AWAY I WAS SO BROKEN. THEN I TOOK A LONG LOOK AND REALIZED I WOULD BE GIVING A BIG PART OF ME AWAY! SO I WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED. THEN ALL AT ONCE IT CAME ,I COULD LIFT AGAIN!!! AND I STILL HAVE 1 1/3 MONTHS TILL SUMMER VACATION AT THE BEACH! VERY THANKFUL! GONNA BE TAKING VERY CAUTIOUS ... BUT TOOK MEASUREMENTS ON ARMS STILL 19.25 COLD I FELT LIKE HAD GOTTEN SO PUNY?!?!? MENTAL JUNK IS TOUGH! I'M SURE THEY WILL SHRINK MORE CAUSE CURLS ARE GONNA BE OUTA THE PICTURE FOR A WHILE BUT I'M GONNA DO ALL I CAN. GREAT TO BE BACK . READY TO KILL IT AT MY 40TH BIRTHDAY AT THE END OF JULY! SO ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN YOU ASK ",WHAT IF I DON'T QUIT?? " KNOW THIS :YOU WIN!!!

MARCH 19- MAY5

BLEW MY ARM APART MARCH 19 , PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY BEEN IN THE TANK! I ALMOST GOT RID OF MY GYM EQUIPMENT!! BUT I CAME TO MY SENSES THANKFULLY AND REALIZED MY GOALS ARE FOREVER CHANGED AND NOTHING TO DO BUT SET A NEW COURSE AND FOCUS MORE ON GENERAL FITNESS THAN SIZE . WELL I HAVE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS TO GET BACK IN SHAPE FOR SUMMER VACATION 4TH OF JULY WEEK, WHICH MEANS I HAVE NO ROOM FOR ERROR!!  CARDIO HAS BEEN A NEAR IMPOSSIBILITY ,WORK HAS BEEN INSANE 10-12 HRS A DAY (INJURIES AND ALL) ON CONCRETE ALL DAY HAS GOT MY LEGS WORE OUT ALL OF THE TIME ,EVEN CRAMPING UP AT NIGHT ! SO NUTRITION HAS 2 BE SPOT ON (IT HAS BEEN HORRIBLE) ! WELL TYM 4 MY WORKOUT ! HAVE A GREAT 1~!

WRAP THEM MUSCLES!!!

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED FROM THIS INJURY??? IS STINKS !!!! TOP OF GAME TO SIDELINED IN 1 REP!!!! 5 OR 6 WEEKS AND STILL AT ONLY THE STARTING LINE!!! BUT IN THIS WEEKS HEALING I DID FIND SOME MAJICK THAT I WILL SHARE IF YOU LIFT HEAVY. "WRAP THEM MUSCLES!!!" YOU DON'T NEED IT YOU SAY, WELL I DIDN'T EITHER . TILL IT POPPED !!  NOW I'M ONLY TALKING TO EXTREME LIFTERS , I WAS CURLING 195 WHEN MY ARM WENT TO CRAP "WITHOUT WARNING!" AFTER WEEKS OF AGONY I WENT TO THE SPORTING GOODS STORE AND FOUND A 2" WIDE BAND WITH A COMPRESSION GEL PACK IN IT ,I ALSO BOUGHT A COMPRESSION SLEEVE . AS SOON AS THE BAND WAS TIGHTENED IN THE CAR; RELIEF! THEN IT HIT ME JUST LIKE THE BACK BELT I WAS WEARING WHILE I WAS LIFTING,TAKING THE TIME TO WRAP MY ARMS WOULD HAVE PROTECTED ME FROM EVER BEING INJURED IN THE FIRST PLACE. POWERLIFTERS DO IT, BUT I NEVER SAW MYSELF IN THIER CLASS ,NOW I MAY NEVER ?? THIS INJURY HAS BEEN PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY A TOTAL DISASTER! SUPPORT THOSE MUSCLES ,YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW. LOOKING AT YOUR DUSTY WEIGHTS WITH THOUGHTS OF DONATING THEM TO THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL!! IT'S THAT BAD! IF YOU LIFT LIKE AN ANIMAL ,TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND WRAP UP. MY 20" ARMS ARE NOW 18 AND FALLING:( ! U DON'T WANT TO BE HERE! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! THE MAIN POINT OF THIS BLOG IS THE FACT : I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT! NOW I CAN'T DO ANYTHING BUT THINK ABOUT IT! MAYBE I'LL HELP SOMEONE NOT END UP HERE!

AT THE BOTTOM LOOKING UP

TORE MY ARM APART CURLING 195 SOME WEEKS AGO ,THANKFULLY I'VE BEEN ABLE TO WORK! I'M A MECHANIC BY TRADE AND SELF EMPLOYED AND THE ONLY INCOME WE HAVE . RETORE MUSCLE THURSDAY PUTTING A BIG SET OF HONKN 10 PLY 18" TIRES ON A TRUCK AND 1 OF THEM CAUGHT THE STEP TUBE AND RIP!! AFTER SITTING ON MY KNEES FOR A FEW MOR MOMENTS I HAD TO LOWER THE TRUCK AND WALK THE TIRE UP MY LEGS AND GET IT ON PLUS THE OTHER LAST ONE I HAD TO PUT ON. THEN 5MORE HRS OF WORK(WOULD HAVE BEEN LESS BUT I SLOWED DOWN A BIT)13 HRS WITH ALMOST NO BREAKS ON CONCRETE GAVE ME FULL BLOWN CHARLY HORSES THURS NIGHT ! 11MORE HRS FRIDAY WITH HEAVY TRUCK TIRES ,ORDER UP!! LIFTING 90% WITH MY LEFT ARM AND MY FORM  WRONG BECAUSE OF MY INJURY, NOW MY OTHER ARM AND MY BACK ARE SORE!!! BUT BY THE HELP OF GOD I GOT IT DONE!! MAN UP !!! SATURDAY COULD NOT BE MORE WELCOMED THOUGH! GONNA GET SOME WRAPS FOR MY RIGHT ARM TODAY TO HOLD THAT MESS TOGETHER. WELL MY WORLD IS UPSIDE DOWN ! LOOKING AT MY DUSTY WEIGHTS MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM ,PUKE, CRY OR SOMETHING!! THIS ISN'T WHAT I DO, IT'S WHO I AM !!!!! IT'LL GET BETTER,1 WAY OR THE OTHER!! WELL AFTER PROOFING THIS BLOG, SOUND LIKE I'M GETTING PRETTY GOOD W/O'S IN ANY WAY LOL!

A BETTER CLASS OF ATHLETE

I HAVE BEEN ON HERE CONSISTANTLY FOR THE LAST 3.25 YEARS AND I HAVE NOTICED A CHANGE IN THE  PEOPLE ON HERE NOW V/S THEN . THERE ARE JUST A WHOLE LOT MORE PEOPLE IT SEEMS TO ME THAT ARE GETTING THIS NAILED DOWN ! WHAT HAS MADE ME NOTICE WAS THE FACT I FOUND MYSELF SAYING "ANOTHER RIPPED GUY WITH GREAT ABS,ANOTHER RIPPED UP GUY WITH GREAT ABS,ANOTHER RIPPED UP GUY WITH GREAT ABS. NOT REALLY PAYING ATTENTION,NOT REALLY NOTICING ,JUST SCROLLING. 3 YEARS AGO IT WAS DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALL JACK3D UP GOT COMMENTED ON TONS MORE AND "STOOD OUT!" NOW 4 ANYTHING TO GET MY ATTENTION THE MUSCLES ALMOST HAVE TO HAVE ALIEN LOOKING DEFINITION WITH STRIATIONS WHERE EVERY FIBER LOOKS LIKE IT IS SAYING "LOOK AT ME!" SO TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE AT 6% B/F ALL JACKED UP ,LOOKING GREAT" I SALUTE YOU !! EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY BLEND IN ON HERE YOU SHURE DON'T OUT IN SOCIETY! AMERICA IS FATTER THAN EVER! AND GETTING FATTER! THANKFUL BEST DESCRIBES THE WAY I FEEL! I RUPTURED A LIGAMENT AND THOUGHT IT WAS OVER . BUT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO WORK AND IM A MECHANIC BY TRADE SO IT'S BEEN PAINFUL BUT DOABLE= THANKFUL !! I FOUND I CAN DO MY ELLIPTICAL PAIN FREE = THANKFUL!! LEANING OUT GOOD MY FIRST WEEK BACK AT IT= THANKFUL (WHO DOESN'T LIKE VASCULARITY!) WELL THIS IS A NEW DIRECTION FOR ME ... SO LONG 2 MY 20" ARMS! BUT I AM STILL DETERMINED TO BE THE BEST PERSON I'VE EVER BEEN WHEN I TURN 40 THIS JULY ! SINGLE DIGIT B/F BY 1ST OF JULY (VACATION AT MYRTLE BEACH!!) I'VE BEEN WANTING ,TALKING ,BLOGGING ABOUT GETTING TO SINGLE DIGIT B/F AGAIN FOR OVER A YEAR BUT I'VE BEEN SO TORN BECAUSE WANTING TO BUILD MASS .. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! I'M NOT SAYN MUSCLE BUILDING IS OVER ,BUT IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME ,CAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD BEING OUT OF COMISSION SO I'LL LIFT WISER ! (BUT CURLING 195 FOR SETS OF 10 FELT SO AWESOME!!!) SO GAME ON!! WHO WOULDN'T BE THANKFUL 4 THAT !! 45 MIN ELLIPTICAL DONE THIS MORNING ,NOW ON TO MY HANGING KNEE RAISES GOT 2 GET DEM ABZ POPPIN!! NEVER QUIT ,NEVER GIVE UP!! SO YOUR INJURED ; NOW WHAT?!

INJURY IS A PART OF LIFE , SO WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT IT? WORK AROUND IT!  I HAVE HAD A GAUNTLET OF PROBLEMS IN THE PAST 3 YEARS OF MY TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY WITH THE LATEST BEING MY WORST ,A RUPTURED LIGAMENT IN MY RIGHT ARM . I WAS AT THE TOP OF MY GAME LOOKING TO BE A BLE TO MAINTAIN 20" ARMS ON MY WAY DOWN TO SINGLE DIGIT B/F !! STOKED!! BUT WHILE CURLING 195 FOR SETS OF 10 ,IT SNAPPED! LITEARALLY!! MENTALLY CRUSHED AND IN HORRIBLE PAIN , WENT INTO A SMALL DEPRESSION. LET DIET GO ,NO WORKING OUT HOPING THAT IT WOULD HEAL. WELL IT HASN'T . IM NOT DOING SURGERY (UNINSURED AND OUR FAMILYS ONLY INCOME) SO THIS WEEK IT WAS TYM TO MOVE ON! CARDIO AND CORE IF I CAN'T LOOK LIKE ARNOLD IM GONNA HAVE 2 GO FOR THE ABERCROMBIE N FITCH MODEL LOOK(YEAH RIGHT!!) SO THATS WHAT YOU DO : IMPROVISE, OVERCOME !! WELL .. GOING FROM THE TOP OF YOUR GAME TO THE BOTTOM IS GRUELING ! INJURY IS KILLING MY PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY. BUT I GOT MY HEAD BACK ON STRAIGHT ANYWAY.SO TYM 4 A REGROUP! SERIOUSLY! 3 WEEKS OF NO WORKING OUT WAITING ON THE PAIN 2 SUBSIDE HAS ACCOMPLISHED BUMPKIS! SO ; TYM 2 GET MY NUTRITION LINED OUT AND START DOING ALL I CAN AND JUST GO 4 LEAN N JACKED CAUSE I'M GONNA DEFINATELY LOOSE THE HUGE FACTOR ! AND I WAS SO LOVING 20" ARMS . OH WELL AFTER A BLOW OUT LIKE I HAD IN MY RIGHT ARM .. IT;S GONNA BE "BUM" 4 A LONG TIME . DEPRESSED AND EATING GARBAGE FROM THIS NONSENSE HAS ENDED 2DAY .MENTALLY I'M BACK !!! THE GAME HAS CHANGED BUT IS STILL ON!!! I HAVE TO REPRESENT ! I WILL NOT QUIT!! I CAN'T QUIT ,2 DO SO WOULD MEAN TOTALLY LOOSING WHO I AM. SO PRAY FOR ME AS I FIND A NEW PATH AND GET HEALED UP . 150 DECLINE SIT UPS AND 150 HANGING KNEE RAISES THIS MORNING ,GONNA GET INTO WORKOUT #2 IN A FEW AND SEE WHAT I CAN DO??!!

THE TOLL OF INJURY

I AM A WEIGHT LIFTER . PERIOD! DURING MY LAST POST I WAS DOING MY ARMS AND WAS AT THE TOP OF MY GAME .THEN SNAP LIKE A PENCIL BREAKING WITHOUT WARNING ,AND HAVING DONE A THOROUGH WARM UP AND PYRAMIDDING UP TO THE WEIGHT AND WAS HANDLEING IT FINE ,BUT STILL "SNAP"!!!! 2 WEEKS OF PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PAIN... TOTALLY LOST BECAUSE I LIFT EVERY DAY ,PERIOD! WHAT A MESS, JUST THANKFUL I CAN PUSH THROUGH AND WORK ,CAUSE IM THE ONLY INCOME WE HAVE ,SO IM VERY THANKFUL! AND IF IM GONNA BE INJURED ID RATHER BE INJURED FROM CURLING 195 THAN FROM LEANING OVER TO GET MY MTN DEW AND FALLING OFF THE COUCH!!! 2WEEKS DOWN HOW MUCH LONGER TO GO?? JACK3D IS RACING, VEINS ARE SWELLING !!! NOW FOR THE TRICEPS ,CANT FORGET THEM! ALTERNATING BI'S N TRIS STIMULATES SWELL!! SWELL STIMULATES GROWTH!! AND WE ALL KNOW GROWTH IS GOOD!!TODAY IS MY HEAVY ARM DAY ,I DON'T GO HEAVY EVERY ARM W/O ,I ALTERNATE HEAVY WITH AN ALL CABLE ARM DAY AND GET A MONSTEROUS SWELL ON!! I ALSO HAVE A DUMBELL DAY,OR A MIXTURE OF ALL THREE TO CONFUSE THE MUSCLES! THAT MAKES THEM BABIES GROW!! WELL YOU GET IT REAL TIME LAST SET ON CURLS SOMETHING SNAPPED REAL LOUD IN MY RIGHT ARM , IT HURTS SOME,NOT REAL BAD ,BUT BAD ENOUGH TO BACK OFF ! WELL GETN BIG BRINGS SOME RISK ??  THAT REALLY CAME FROM OUTTA NOWHERE ?? I PYRAMIDDED UP AND ALL WEIGHTS WERE FINE.FIRST SET OF 10 WAS FINE SECOND SET WAS FINE TILL REP 5 ?STRANGE; IT HURTS BUT NOT BAD ,THE WAY IT POPPED ,I THOUGHT I HAD SNAPPED IT OFF! YESTERDAY EVENING WAS THE FIRST TRIP OUT THIS SEASON IN A TANK TOP . I MUST SAY 20" ARMS DO GET ATTENTION! NOTHING 2 MOTIVATE YOU BETTER TO POLISH IT THE REST OF THE WAY UP! A LITTLE VANITY NEVER HURTS ???!! LOL!! WELL; THAT BEING SAID TYM 4 MY SATURDAY SESSION!

CARDIO IS THE NEW "FOCUS"

I HAVE ADDED ALOT OF MUSCLE AND AM LEANING OUT EVER SO SLOWLY... WELL 2 SLOWLY!! TYM 2 REALLY START RAMPING UP THE CARDIO . SPRING IS HERE AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED . TORNADO'S, 70 DEGREE +WEATHER, LOTSA RAIN,DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ... SPRING!. SO IT'S TYM ! JUST LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! BEEN TWEAKING MY NUTRITION ,TRYING TO FIND THAT NICHE TO REALLY LOOSE B/F . AND I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT I THINK MY NUTRITION IS PRETTY GOOD ,I JUST NEED MORE CARDIO . SO I HAVE SET UP A NEW SPLIT ROUTINE ,  ALTERNATING LIFTING 3 DAYS AND CARDIO 3 DAYS OF HARDCORE SWEAT YOU BUNS OFF CARDIO! GONNA KEEP IT LIKE THAT FOR AT LEAST 1 MONTH AND GO FROM THERE?? LIKE I SAY I THINK MY NUTRITION IS GOOD. EVERY TIME I HAVE TRIED TO CUT CALS FOR THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS IT HAS BLOWN UP IN MY FACE(SUGAR DROPS, WEAKNESS ETC) LEADING TO FEEDING FRENZIES. BUT THE MORE THAT I HAVE ANALYZED THE SITUATION. MY CALORIES ARE GOOD , I JUST NEED "CARDIO!" !! WELL THE ELLIPTICAL AND I HAVE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT IN A FEW ! I WILL BE POSTING NEW PROGRESS PICS AT 195 ,THEN AGAIN AT 190! I AM HOPING THATS AS LOW AS IT HAS TO GO?? HAVE A GREAT OL SWEATY FRIDAY MY FRIENDS!

WHICH IS BETTER?? COMMON MISTAKE THAT IS IN ALOT OF PEOPLES HEAD ABOUT WICH 1 TARGETS MUSCLES BETTER ., BUT THE REALITY IS BOTH! IT IS SELDOM IF EVER THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET FULL POTENTIAL WITH EITHER WITHOUT THE OTHER! THEY ARE DIFFERENT AND DIFFERENT IS GOOD ! THE WAY THEY TARGET MUSCLES DIFFERENTLY 1 WILL COMPLIMENT THE OTHER . ie. I NORMALLY DO DUMBELL BENCH PRESS ONLY BECAUSE I LIKE THE WAY IT SHAPES MY CHEST AND BARBELL BENCHING FLATTENS ME OUT. BUT 2 CHANGE IT UP ON MY LAST WORKOUT I DID BARBELL WORK AND I AM SO SORE I CAN HARDLY STAND IT! THAT = GROWTH MY FRIEND !! THE MUSCLES WEREN'T READY FOR WHAT THE BARBELL BROUGHT = DOMS= GROWTH!!
