week 2, day 5
Today was another leg-killer. Kris really must enjoy punishing his wheels. I just about died on the hack squat - st leg curl combo. Although I could do only 50 lbs for the hacks, I got all 4 sets of 50 reps each completed. Last year I couldn't finish a single set at 50 lbs. So that's a small improvement. I was sweating like mad, and this guy (Ryan) was really mirin my hard work. Feels good to be stared at in the gym, and not because you're a douche, but because you bust your balls on the workouts.
Meanwhile, my lats are experiencing the DOMS, which is good. They are actually responding to the training, and maybe this means that next time, they'll be stronger. Chicken Legs would be embarrassed by this but IDGAF. I'm still proud of what I accomplish on MY terms and MY standards.
